Are there any HW champs that don't have any wins over an ATG on their resume...???...LEGACY, WLAD is already in his prime, it's time he start thinking about that word.

    honestly Suge.
You think there are benefits to Wlad for fighting Toney?

The haters would once again rip Wlad for "fighting easy opp".

Its a lose lose situation for Wlad.

If Toney gets a big win soon, then I could maybe see it

You say the haters will rip him, yet you have no problem excusing the tournament.

What did that tournament prove...???...that a couple of prospects can defeat WLAD's most recent title challengers.

You already said that WLAD would probably need until the 9th to get him out, and that he still wouldn't get counted out.

...and you also excuse his other defenses, in which he stopped his opponents sooner...like Brock and Austin. Toney is better than anyone WLAD has fought since PETER.

They missed Holyfield, they're going to lose the battle of history if they don't put any ATGs on the list.

I never said Toney would be easy, but Toney would lose by KO and I did said the tourney was a joke.
I think if Toney has a good showing in another fight, then it could happen. We will see. There is not alot out there for Wlad.

    It comes down to $$$$$

Is there enough interest in a Wlad/Toney fight. You know Toney, he wants the big$$$ before he will say yes

Toney/Wlad 50-50 can be the biggest fight WLAD has had yet...it's been a long time since WLAD's been to Vegas.

...and Toney doesn't need a win, right now he's better than everybody that KLIT's faced...

...or WLAD should tell Haye that if he can beat someone of James Toney's caliber, then he can have a title shot...and then after Toney KOs Haye...WLAD vs Toney.

Anyways, Toney beat a better version of Holyfield than WLAD would see, and since that opportunity went by...he's got to consider his legacy.

Marciano may have beat an old Louis, but it's still one of his best wins...like today, they say there wasn't a lot of names in the division then. KLIT's not going down as undefeated like Rock though, he better get some ATGs on his resume if he wants to be remembered.

That is how I see it, too.

Toney is a big risk and no reward for the top heavies.

Its gonna take some risky, up and comer, for Toney to get his clout and ranking rebuilt on.

When he retires i'm going to miss him. Even with his faults/eating disorder he is one of the true characters in boxing. He can hang in with the best even being overweight and hardly exerting himself. He's a throwback, a tough sob, and has some of the best trash talk and jokes of any fighter ever. Knocking out Jim Grey's microphone was priceless.

I wish Haye would fight Toney. It would put Toney right back in the spotlight where he rightfully belongs. No matter what you think of Toney, he is good, and he talks up a good fight. It's always fun when boxing is FUN! I wish Toney would also get to fight Peter again. I know its the third time, but there seems to be a crack in Peter's chin now.

Toney is a legend, an all time great. He has beaten the best in the middleweight, suppermiddleweight and cruiserweight divisions.

He has been in the game for 20 years and never been knocked out. He has been competitive with the best heavys and most importantly has proven in his last fight that he is still Top 10. He has arguably beaten any heavyweight he faced. Haye would get a lot of respect for taking on Toney in his heavyweight debut and the fight would draw a lot of media attention.

Are quitter Rahman, Monte Barrett, Maskaev more worthy? So what is the point, and all the Top 5 heavyweights are not available for november.

The only reason the fight might not happen is because Haye is scared. we will very soon find out if all his talk means anything.

I was talking about Wlad facing Toney.

I WOULD LOVE to see Haye fight Toney. It would be a very rude awakening for Haye:good

This would be a good fight for Toney, but it's clear that Haye wants no part of James.

As for Toneys chin, it has already been tested, and by bigger punchers than Haye.
