A majority decision over a near 36 year old McCallum would probably rank 6th for me. Im sure I'll hear it about Holyfield. But the difference id how far in weight Toney moved up to actually get that win. Jmo.

Michael Nunn has to be the best win. His first title and coming from behind to land his right hand when Nunn was doing the same leaning back on the ropes as he did with Barkley. For James to land those punches when he was relatively young was very impressive, even though Nunn seemed to be diminished. Didn't Nunn has Angelo Dundee in his corner then? Dundee was ok, but overrated. He didn't help Nunn or Olajide much.
Jirov is number 2. Getting his second title against a much bigger guy in a war. Impressive.
Iran Barkley. I thought he would win this fight the way he did. Barkley just was not quick enough to beat Toney and Toney's chin was too solid even if Iran landed something big as he usually did once or twice in a fight.
Holyfield is next. I thought he won well here. Evander still fights, so I didn't think Evander was as washed up as people thought. He took Evander apart.
Reggie Johnson is the least impressive. He should have beaten Reggie.

Besides being heavy handed, Sam Peter is a pretty crappy heavyweight in my opinion. If Toney had showed up in the condition he did for Holyfield he would have dominated him.

The only time he beat McCallum without the help of corrupt judges was when Mike was too shot for it to count much.

Obviously Nunn, for me, followed perhaps by Holyfield and Barkley.

Do you mean to seriously tell me that you can in any way shape or form score the rematch in favour of Toney? Then you must tell me which the 6+ rds he won was.

I actually thought he beat Mccallum clearly in the first fight though it was close. It's the second fight that Mccallum possibly should've won.

I count the Ruiz fight as a win as I count Golota as a win for Tyson. Toney imo never lost to Griffin, Thadzi, and got robbed in the first fight with Peter though tbf he lost to Tiberi. Interesting career Toney has and is possibly the best technician of his time. I've never seen someone make a prime Jones miss as much as he did.

As far as top 5 wins,

Nunn, Jirov, Ruiz, Peter 1, and Holyfield.

Bottom 5 in no order: Sosa, Mccallum 2, Barkley, P.C. Williams, Johnson

  14. you said that his last fight was the only one he won without help from the judges , how about the first fight a solid win for toney imo
