If James Toney stayed at Cruiserweight, Haye would of never won any belts. I don't think Haye could beat Juan Carlos Gomez or Vassily Jirov. Haye was at the right place at the right, when all the best Cruiserweights left the divsion, and an average fighter like him, and with no chin could win the CW title from the poor left overs.

All Haye has ever done is beat a French bodybuilder Mormeck , who only has 6 rounds of stanima for each fight. Mormeck can barely beat a 45 year old Virgil Hill. Mormeck was a very a average champion and he still almost KTFO of Haye. And he beat a fellow no chin British chump like Enzo, who had the WBO belt handed to him with out beating anyone ever.

Yep, Toney would have beaten Haye any time. Haye is a fake hero.

He doesn't really need to answer Toney, he has his eyes on Chambers or Barrett next. Those are younger better opponents right now for Haye, especially Chambers. Toney is too old and will do nothing for Haye at this point.

I would hardly call a boxing lesson from a master doing nothing for Haye...

Yeah but Toney is too old man, Haye won't even get any credit for beating him. Toney was losing against Rahman in the rematch as well, the first two rounds he clearly lost and the third he only shined and landed big punches after the headbutt.

No,he was winning the rematch. @ judges who weren't on crack had Toney with 2 rounds. He made Rock ***** out, I watched it several times. That night was the return of James Toney...you have it wrong, but you'll see next time.

You're honestly the first person to tell me you scored two rounds for Toney that fight, I gave him the third and only for the shots he landed after the headbutt.

As you say, we'll see. I really don't see Toney offering much anymore but if he is then let's see him fight someone decent next and prove it. A fight with Golota should be perfect.

Why Golota...is he due an eliminator...??

Anyway, almost everybody including the judges gave James 2 and 3, only Haye and people who mention steroids everytime Toney comes up give him only 1 round.

I am tired of people saying that Toney is not a worthy opponent for Haye. We have discussed that now back and forth for nearly a month,

Again here are the reasons most people here seemed to agree on:

    1) The fight will get a lot of media attention, just imagine the press conferences.

    2) The contrast young/old is actually interesting. The young hungry lion going up against the old tricky master.

    3) Toney is already a HOF lock , so he is the biggest name Haye has faced so far.Certainly bigger than Mormeck and the former WBO champ.

    4) Haye will get respect when he beats Toney, who has only been beaten by number 2 ranked Peter at heavyweight.

    5) Toney has proven in his last fight that he still has something in the tank. He was at his lowest weight since Holyfield and was outboxing Rahman who looked for a way out.

A lot of Haye fans just seemed to be aware of the fact that their man takes a great risk in fighting Toney. It is unobjective to pretend that Toney is not a worthy opponent for Haye, end of story.

Great to hear James Toney again. Hope haye will finally agree to fight him. Let me tell you, James will put on a show leading up to the fight, during the fight, and then after the fight when he talks to Merchant, Kellerman, or Jim grey. Haye better be prepared to get outboxed and get hit if he decides to fight Toney.

LOLLLLLLLLLLLLLL you stayed up all night posting comment after comment long after I left, and all the comments stem from my own insults towards you!!, it takes you 20 of my posts to pretend a pic if funny! After I mention your pic, do you have an original thought? and man *****, gay... again not very creative, rather predictable, infact, it's become more recycled than mother jokes... but no one can accuse you of being a leading mind on this forum, I'm just pleased your weekend was ruined due to me tinkering on your self esteem like a public urinal :(

    Right, Haye v Toney:

    1. People say the old master against the younger newcomer to teh division... look what respect that got Calzaghe, the same situation, stepping up, fighting the p4p number 4, old master, and all he gets is ''barely beat an old past it man'' so where does that put Haye once he KO's him? another '' had to beat up on a shot Toney who was overweight and long past his best''?

    2. Toneys won 1 of his last 6, and sorry, but Rahman was winning 2 out of 3 rounds, and any argument that says he won round 2 and 3.... that still says really they were level until the headbutt, plus Toney would have run out of steam by round 5.

    3. Haye is calling out as many top 10 fighters as possible for his fight, all seem to be ducking him, so if Toney is serious, he will make a lot more noise about it, and Hayes situation, as we haven't heard a peep from him in 2-3months, I doubt he really wants Hayes, but nows the best time to shoot his mouth off.

It's all about opinions, people have strong emotions for Toney due to his early years, but I don't see how Toney would stand a chance against a fitter, faster and far more powerful opponent, but right now, I changed from not caring about the fight , to wanting it to happen, but I can imagine Klit's degrading him for beating up on Toney, just like everyone else will.

At this point, James Toney has done much more at Heavyweight than David Haye. David Haye is unproven and still needs to be tested at HW. Who better than to test him by putting him up against James Toney. We know he is beatable, but he is still very crafty and can still hold his own. Toney's main two losses at Heavyweight are against the current Heavyweight Champion Samuel Peter, with one of those losses being controversial (many had Toney beating Sam Peter on points). How would David Haye at this point due against Sam Peter? Not too sure are we. Toney isn't a bum. He has enough skills to be competitive against much bigger, more athletic opponents, even more so against unproven ones.

Dude you are just an idiot. Adding 199 L'S to the end of LOL doesn't make anything funnier.
