I am tired of people saying that Toney is not a worthy opponent for Haye. We have discussed that now back and forth for nearly a month, Again here are the reasons most people here seemed to agree on: 1) The fight will get a lot of media attention, just imagine the press conferences. 2) The contrast young/old is actually interesting. The young hungry lion going up against the old tricky master. 3) Toney is already a HOF lock , so he is the biggest name Haye has faced so far.Certainly bigger than Mormeck and the former WBO champ. 4) Haye will get respect when he beats Toney, who has only been beaten by number 2 ranked Peter at heavyweight. 5) Toney has proven in his last fight that he still has something in the tank. He was at his lowest weight since Holyfield and was outboxing Rahman who looked for a way out. A lot of Haye fans just seemed to be aware of the fact that their man takes a great risk in fighting Toney. It is unobjective to pretend that Toney is not a worthy opponent for Haye, end of story. I watch that fight with four friends and everyone scored fight 2-1 for Toney expect me. I scored two for Toney and first round even. Toney clearly won two rounds in that fight.
I wouldn't describe myself as left wing per se, I'm all for more and better police, harsher sentences for criminals, corporal punishment in schools, parents being allowed to smack their kids. On the other hand I have socialist leanings and I don't agree with grouping everybody of a certain ethnicity together. You're speaking of pride in one's country, which is a concept I don't really understand. Perhaps this is due to being the son of immigrants myself. Having a southern Irish mother and a northern Irish father helps one learn to appreciate both sides of a socio-political argument. Growing up in an area with lot's of people of other ethnicities helps as well. My personal opinion is that nationalism, which you call pride in one's country, is a hostile, sectarian attitude. Blair: Now you call him left wing, I don't. Blair, Brown, their part have no real political views. They want businesses to make money so they can personally reap the benefits. New labour is not a left wing party it is a right wing party. They came to power and despite a bit of spin largely followed the trends of the previous conservative governments and reneged on the promises they made in order to get elected. Harold Wilson was left wing (if inept), Tony Benn is left wing, Kinnock, Scargill etc etc. Left wing ideology is in fact firmly aimed at the wellbeing of the working classes, not the middle classes so on that point you are out and out wrong. Britains history contains an enormous amount which one should not be proud of including slavery, genocide, exploitation of indiginous peoples in many different countries, obscene working conditions for it's own working classes, obscene treatment/conditions of it's own armies and navies and so on. You cn be proud of the steam engine if you like and fair play to you but don't forget soldiers being flogged or facing firing squads and don't forget the potato famine or massacreing of Ghandi supporters in India. "I take exception from your generalisation on people who show their national flag being skinheaded, neo nazi ultra right wingers" fair enough, maybe I put it a little strongly and I didn't intend to offend you. I have to wonder why you don't display the Union Jack though since that is in fact the flag of the country. Also I'd like to point out that St. George was most likely Turkish. Most knife crime way well be commited by blacks or asians, most glasses in faces crimes in dodgy pubs are commited by whites. I'll finish for now on a question: who will you be voting for next time around? (I have never in my life voted for Labour)
Actually, if Labour were all for business, then they would cut down the corporation tax so as to even the playing field againts other nations, as it is, we are constantly losing industries to off shore based company's, and eastern european/asian countries, their policies don't favour the middle classes at all, I pay 40% of my income and for what? 8.7 billion to be part of the EU? 1.5 million to explain faiths better in an area of London? People to live off benefits and over breed so they can gain for support? or to house prisons with xbox's, playstations, or house, feed and heal immigrants who preach about flying a flag of Islam in the UK? or teh other wastes that are far to many and long to mention.... it's no wonder so many people are leaving the UK, the more you tax hard working people, and try and distribute the middle and upper classes wealth, the less likely they are to stay, and then you're left with working class funding each other... thats not going to go far. I would also like to point out, the labour party is full of people from working class backgrounds, even the Speaker is from a working class background, albeit they are all social climbers. You mentioned Kinnock as a left winger, the same Kinnock who was opposed to the house of Lords, the same Kinnock who is now Lord Kinnock? he didn't oppose it then did he? sorry, left winger's all of them. On one side you say we exploited, enslaved and committed genocides... What's happened to Zimbabwe since we left? is that better? and India, fine it was being dictated to, but, do they not exploit their people now? children don't work obscene hours just for shelter and next to no food? we also abolished the slave trade, which was used Worldwide, and in African/Arab countries before we started, and I add, it's still being used to this day, so while we accomplished a great many things, including the industrial age, many great inventions, classical music, poetry, etc etc, we also have done no worse than these so called exploited countries still do today. Why should I not display the St George cross? England is the only country in Europe without it's own parliament, don't you think we have eroded the pride of being from England enough? St George ''may'' have been Turkish, regardless of this, it was his spirit and beliefs that led Richard etc to use the St georges Cross, he stood for Christianity and of course showed perceived English courage in slaying the dragon, though this is here nor there, a topic used mainly by left wingers, especially used by Labour Party members, in an effort to degrade the country and refer to it as a ''mongrel'' nation constantly. I was born in England, I take pride in Britain, but I am English first and British second, my loyalty first and foremost is to my country, not to it's union, not understanding pride in one's country yourself, doesn't entitle you to degrade it or mean you're are right, or vice versa from my perspective, but to belittle patriots seems to go against all this '' free thinking, each to their own'' perspective left wingers have. Pub's are also a place where a certain degree of risk is acknowledge, due to people drinking, walking through a park or a street in broad daylight is not, though two wrongs don't make a right, I preferred it when the elderly could walk out their homes feeling safe, or people could travel on public transport without a fear of stabbings or beatings after 8pm. I would never vote Labour, I have and always will be a Conservative, and the fact that Cameron has been to Eton pleases me, teh Labour party members may mock it, but I'll take a well educated person from a sound upbringing over a bitter working class social climber out to destroy a countries traditions and turn it into a mini USA. Oh and not grouping people together doesn't really matter, people group each other, thats why you get Ghetto's in America, no go zones in the UK, and of course mass exodus of one ethnic group when another moves in, Look at Israel for further proof of how well people integrate with one another, I believe Oxford carried out an experiment with rats that supported this, when a certain breed of rats turned on the others when confined in a small area and killed... including ''gang '' like behaviour, ring any bells? But I do welcome you going to the Middle East and trying to get the first Church to be built there, or acceptance of your law system and beliefs, you may find they aren't as tolerant as we are, despite are hostile, old fashioned sectariast imperial views...sigh. Incidently, 10years ago, I wasn't opposed to immigration, but an open door policy, then the change to all our systems, traditions, and us making way for these people has rather changed my mind, especially when you see idiots like the Guardian writer Jasmine Brown , who was granted asylum from the Sudan, along with this Police number 3, turn on the system, and in Mrs brown's case state '' I hope oneday the white man will be the forgotten species'' or '' I hate white middle class people, and yes I am racist and proud of it'' it really shows the sense of warmth and gratitude people feel for Great Britain and it's hosts.
Toney's been to a gym? or did you get bag's mixed up with Pizza and doughnut boxes? or possibly syringe for his next course of steroids?
Wow! An Oxford Man? Very impressive. That will make it 20 times as fun to **** with your Limey ass when Haye gets his handed to him.
Get worked over for a few rounds, then get Cortez to interfere? I doubt Toney would last that long however.... it didn't work aswell for Hopkins did it.
The Pathetic part was when the British Alcoholics kept singing "There only OONNNNNE Ricky Hatton" even as the ref saved his ass, and Floyd was being carried about the ring. Toney would do to Haye what he did to the guy who would kick Hayes overrated ass, Rahman.
Aside from the fact Cortez ruined teh fight, and Hatton was sharper and better for the first 4 rounds, despite facing a bigger person at his natrual weight, I do think Mayweather would have won as he is a gifted fighter, from a boxing family, he was better conditioned, and Hattons lack of professionalism inbetwene fights irritates me as it's always held him back. No one expected Hatton to realistically win anyway, and thats what supporters do, support their people. Toney however isn't Mayweather, and Haye is more gifted than Hatton, it would be more like a Haye doing to Toney, what Preston did to Khan, and about as long.
:rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl :rofl Oh, ****, I've heard it fooking all now. Toney is much like Mayweather. He is slick and crafty, and a master defensive fighter, who is double tough. Haye hasnt done **** yet, except unify a weak ass Cruiserweight Division. He is going to find that HWs hit a lot harder. Haye is not more gifted than Hatton, and the World will soon find that out.
