I hope this fight doesn't happen. Toney's been a great fighter and it would be sad to see him end his days in a wheelchair.

No, because Toney at this point has no power, no workrate, little defence (even the slow Rahman was hitting him pretty often before the butt), as well as a massive reach disadvantage; more so than against Peter or Rahman. And unlike those two, Haye is fast as hell and may punch just as hard.

Which is why Haye wanted to fight him so badly. Notice how Haye's team picked Maskaev too, who was the weakest top 10 ranked guy? Haye is a joker.................

if toney would agree to fight in england i beleive the fight could be made, but from reading the transcript it seems toney wants the fight to take place in america.

Toney was a great fighter in his day and he still has the ability to pull off some of his old skills.... but if he carries on... he's gonna be F***d up....and get brain damage..... I think he might be able to to beat Haye or even take him the distance....but Toney should call it quits now.... listen to the way he talks nowadays....its even more slurred and ****'d up more than it used to be.....the guy is gonna lose his senses if he carries on

Toney will turn Haye into a jailhouse prostitute after he beats his ass all over the ring.

Haye would get frustrated by not able to hit Toney with a clean punch. Haye would get a counter right hand from Toney and will go down for the 10 count inside 4 rounds

Haye is in hiding, after talking so much trash.

Haye is just like George Michael, and he has no chin.

Even featherfisted Toney would be able to put Gaymaker to sleep...

I can ****ing GURANTEE that Haye won't sign the contract to fight Toney! Why would he. Toney is too skilled and dangerous for a guy who is now campaining at HW. IF Haye and his camp are smart they'll steer clear of JT. I actually want the fight to happen next for Haye, but would also like to see him do well at HW. I don't think he can do both unless he waits until JT is 42 or 43. If the fight does come off it's a TKO for JT by Round 9!

I think the Haye will be the one eating "Haymakers" if JT got lucky enough to get Haye to want to fight James.

That's what is sad. James is no doubt past it. But he is still good enough at HW to beat most of the top 10 on skills alone......Everyone knows he isnt a physcial specimen at HW to be worried about. Everyone avoids him just b/c they know his skills aren't matched at HW. But you are right...there is nothing left to prove by James.....fortunately or unfortunately james still feels he can grab the HW Title from one or all the title holders. I think he still can if he can stay healthy and active.

I don't think he's done at HW....maybe at MW or Super MW which is impossible for James to get back down to...but there aren't many skilled HW's that would be able to match JT....the only way they compete with JT is bc they are MASSIVELY bigger and stronger. But skills pay the bills.
