That's the problem with an all British judges team when a Brit is fighting. Terrible scorecards in my opinion. Framptons fitness looked terrible.

 

I'd like to see a constant rhythm rather than these static poses and measuring with the left hand. His body seemed wide open at times. He looked caught between two styles. Like a fighter trying to be a reflex boxer. Balance was off. Feet /legs looked weak

 

Garcia v Quigg stylistically would be a great matchup but Quigg would stop him in a war.

 

Not the Quigg Ive been watching in his few fights since the Frampton loss. Today's Quigg is a face-first barroom brawler. Garcia would murder him .

The commentary was poor tonight....as usual....(at least they're consistent I suppose!)..they exaggerated the success Garcia enjoyed tonight. Frampton was a clear Winner against a really tough and huge lightweight sized Mexican opponent.

 

He looked great in the first 3 rounds, boxed really well, moving and changing angles, catching Garcia with some mouthwatering shots...and then he started blowing out of his ar5e. He edged it for me by a couple of rounds but he made Garcia look a lot better than he was.

I read some posts saying he’s done but I don’t personally think so. He’s absolute class but he’s clearly struggling at the weight imo.

 

Carl did look great early on would have made an easy night of it if he kept fight st distance. But he made a terrible adjustment and stood in pocket kept foot planted far too much and was getting worked over a ot against a guy he could have schooled if he stuck on the outside. Your right Garcia was made to look better than he is. I don't think weight should be an issue but probably is as i think Carl maybe doesn't look after himself well enough out of the ring and Jamie Moore's conditioning was terrible as Frampton simply was not fit enough.

 

His conditioning really surprised me, mate. I’m not convinced being out the ring since January is an excuse, which the commentators kept using. You’re right, he planted his feet way too much and had that been a 12 rounder, I think Frampton would have been in big trouble. I thought the cards were a bit wide though.

 

Agree Quigg hasn't looked good lately but has looked better than Frampton tonight. Would out punch Garcia. Garcia fought at SBW this year so isn't a massive FW as he wouldn't make SBW if he were. You wouldnt see Selby making SBW and he's a big FW. Talking of Selby if Carl fights him Len he would be outclassed.

I must be only one with knockdown I had him losing by a round but in saying that I don't think it should be e stood. I agree about conditioning it was an excuse. Early doors I actually though Carl looked better than ever his timing accuracy were all special then it went to pot. I think his engine will let him down v any of the top boys I really do. Remember if Quigg started their fight earlier he would have best him mainly down to having a much better engine. Carl is certainly the 'more talented boxer' but doesn't have a good engine and it's got worse. Hes lucky there's not a Featherweight like Scott Harrison around these days as his lack of engine volume would see him destroyed. Just thinking Frampton with Quiggs work rate and engine would be a top 3 p4p lol

 

Frampton loses to LSC again.

 

Frampton seemed happy enough but my fears with Jamie Moore as his trainer have not been allied. Next year will tell the tale but he must improve considerably.

Judges not great again. Due to the 10-8 round it appears one judge didn't give Garcia another round. Canelo looked disgusted but probably only made the trip to make sure Garcia got paid.

On the undercard Jamie Conlan was tough but outclassed. May try again but I reckon he will never reach World level and if that's the aim should seriously consider retiring as he has been in too many wars.

Paddy Barnes did well. Was really pleased with his performance and the best by far he has looked as a pro. Just get the feeling he has struggled to get up for small crowds considering the elite level he was as amateur. His pro career could yet take off. I'm sure he will have something to say about BT using the British flag for him.

Jono Carroll did well too. He's building a fan base, is charismatic and a good talker. Could also reach maybe European or fringe World level.

 

I personally don't think we have seen the same Frampton that was in the first Santa Cruz fight and may never see him reach that elite level again.

He basically achieved everything he dreamed off by beating LSC and I thought he had significantly lost most of his desire by the time of the rematch. Frampton never looked the same fighter in what was a tame defence and defeat.

Got to say I was shocked at the level of deterioration in Frampton tonight and all he appears interested in now is a final payday at Windsor Park.

Hopefully his very good legacy is not rogered by another defeat to someone he would have beat 2-3 years ago.

 

I was critical of Carls performance until I heard Carl picked the opponent. It was a comeback fight, a year out of the ring. Any decent matchmaker would have fed him cannon fodder and made him look amazing, which he did for a few rounds. But Carl has a big ego and he handpicked a huge pressure fighting Mexican, who had never been stopped before, hoping he'd stop him and rock the world. That's illogical and the reason why fighters don't make fights. It was close but Carl clearly won. People questioning Carls stamina must rewatch his fights, he always tires after six, but he doesn't blow out of his arse. He won 8&10 so how bad is his stamina? 6/10
