As per title... bit of a wasted talent? Never was active enough and had a few issues outside the ring by the sounds of it
Decent fighter who could have achieved a bit more (but well short of world level IMO) if he had properly focused on boxing and put his all into it. A lot of issues outside of the ring, stopped him doing much even after he signed with Matchroom. Got his payday vs Groves in the WBSS at least.
It's a real shame he never got to box J'Leon Love. Just for the posters with "Love Cox" in huge letters. It would have been a great.
That's a shame, I liked Cox and the aggression he brought into the ring. His biggest mistake was leaping all the way to SMW from LMW. There was just no reason to bypass MW where he would have been quite effective IMO.
He was a decent operator, thought it was going to be a right scrap with Ryder, perfect for him at the time. Got smoked there though.
Big underachiever.. had the ability speed skiills power. Just not a good chin and obviously not the discipline to be at the weight he should have been
Should have achieved more and he was too small for Super Middle. Entertaining fighter with skills and aggression. For me though, it appears he shone brighter as a gym fighter when sparring than he did under the lights on fight night.
