he beat a very good fighter to win the title.

Frank Warden offered him a british superfight with paul butler apprently but it got turned down.

As would be expected as at this moment in time, it would be step backwards for Mcdonnell. I think Butler is a superb talent but at this moment of time Mcdonnell is at world level, Butler up until now has been fighting domestically.

I rate Mcdonnell but don't know about 'easy', Butler looks like he himself can one day win a world title. He'd come to fight thats for sure.

Butler is a good prospect but hes getting a bit overated imo , his fight with ashley ***ton was close.
Mcdonnell is proven world class he'd be too much for him right now, maybe in 18 months it would be a more competitive fight

  7. is Darchinyan still a bantam? if so that's a good name for Mcdonnell to raise his very low profile

Not as good as Yamanaka or Moreno, imo. But certainly a quality boxer and not an easy out at all for anyone in the division. Classy, durable boxers rarely are.

That would be quality rematch, first fight was super close. Jamoye has lost 3 times but vs really good fighters. I think he alos lost to Leo Santa Cruz and one of the top Japanese fighters.

he got robbed in that fight against the japanese guy

so he's only lost when he was really young to Santa Cruz and a close fight with Mcdonnell

Jamoye is a top fighter, the rematch would be a 50/50 fight and another cracking fight

for a world champion Mcdonnell has a seriously low profile
he needs a new promoter or something
