Has this been confirmed or is it just a follow up of the talk that has been going on since he beat Kameda? Quigg has been talking about moving up too, but I feel like Burns, McDonnell gives up his advantages by moving up in weight.

Yes but because people are bigger at that weight he is giving up advantages he had, or he wont have as much of an advantage. :thumbsup

Apparently McDonnell has been offered a career best purse for the Kameda rematch. If it's true he would be daft not to take the fight.

Have nvr warmed to the guy but he's achieved a lot over the past year and must be given respect....

Smart move is to fight Kameda again then move up IMO

Add another quality operator to the British SBW division

Hope he gets some big pay days ahead he deserves them. Rematch will be hard but even a loss to kameda wont hurt him much hope he wins and i think he can even in Japan. He will do well at sbw too imo he has good skills, jab. Engine and toughness, very good all round boxer who is tall and strong. Imo he beats most sbw and can give rig trouble with his height and reach. Imo he could beat quigg and frampton
