I'm looking forward to this fight as McDonnel has been underrated by many in the past.Twice a winner v Tomoki Kameda was impressive but @ 32 years can he beat Naoya Inoue.

Jeez man really looking forward to this but I just feel Jamie won't get a decision in Japan. I hope he stops him but Inoue is a badass. Really unsure about this.

I'm going with Inoue by late stoppage, around the tenth. I think it will be one of those "brave performances" from McDonnell but it won't be enough.

Then McDonnell will move up afterwards.

The guy said after Solis that he would move up in weight. That tells me he’s doing this largely for the pay day. Nothing wrong with that but you can see a mile off what’s going to happen here. He’ll get beaten up and then say post fight that the weight killed him and he’ll move up. I give him no chance here.

Like Selby, you have a man in his 30s killing himself to make a weight class he’s been in for year. You just know what’s going to happen.

I respect McDonnell but Inoue is top 10p4p.. I have to go with Inoue via robbery decision culminating in a rematch where JM destroys him! :)

Was fortunate enough to see Inoue live at the first Superfly card. The kid packs a huge punch for that weight class. I think he'll get a stoppage in the second half of the fight, but JM will make him work for it.

I forgot that Jaimie is a giant at those lower divisions 5'10 with a 72' reach. This fight might be closer than I originally thought.
