Hearn is not the be all and end all of British boxing.

Hopefully Jamie signs with Coldwell, really wanna see Dave build his stable a world champion would make a perfect addition.

At the moment he's the only one capable of building a star whether you like it or not.

Did not help himself by going on holiday straight after his win. Could have waited a week and done interviews gone on ringside ect.

I honestly don't recall many picking Ceja to walk through him. :huh

In both the Kirk's and Rummy's prediction leagues I tabbed it for being a hard fought close victory for McDonnell (except my pick was SD instead of MD) and don't recall being a lone voice in the wilderness or anything.

at the start of the Julio Ceja was on those - best prospects for 2013 lists, he was on all them lists, I read about him in a few articles, people were saying he was gonna be the next mexican star, they were hyping him cause off his knockout ratio and age.

Name one star Hearn has built?

All of his top fighters were more or less stars before they even joined him.

Would you prefer I said he improved on their marketability and made them bigger stars?

Froch being the clear and obvious example.

Well thats a little different to building a star from scratch.

Frochs' popularity has to do with his in ring exploits and arguably apart from forking out to get Bute over, he didnt do anything for Froch anyone else wouldnt have and besides, there are Division 2 footballers still better known than Froch

Some people on here have no clue. Dennis Hobson his a bloody good promoter. Do you think Hearn would have achieved what he has without Sky TV up his ass? Doubt it. That is the only significant pull towards Hearn, he isn't necessarily a great Promoter as people think. Hobson actually has a better resume that Eddie Hearn. What has Hearn really achieved for his fighters thus far in term of boxing progression?

How long has he been promoting?

It's churlish to deny that any fighter who has been with him has not been given the opportunity to become a lot bigger and better.

He helped make Froch a PPV fighter. Two years ago you'd have laughed your head off at the thought of it.

Kell Brook is still in the same position he was when he left Frank ****** 3 or 4 years ago,Kell has also become a bit of a laughing stock amongst fans. Now Im not saying thats Hearns fault but the kid hasnt progressed at all under the Matchroom banner.

Carl joined Matchroom in 2011 I think,he had already beaten Jean Pascal, knocked out Jermaine Taylor in America, beat Andre Dirrell and destroyed Abraham away again in Finland. Not to mention being a 2 time world champion, now tell me what would be so laughable about him becoming a ppv fighter. All he needed was the platform,Sky never showed his fights but if they had he would have been the name he is now a long time ago.

If you blame Hearn for Brook getting injured twice and Alexander pulling out once I am embarrassed for you.
