Bad move in my opinion. Moore needs to get a new promoter. After beating Macklin he should have had a title shot by now.

Bad move - the world scene at 154 is **** poor and he may have gotten somewhere.

That said, 160 isn't all that, so wait and see.

    Perhaps a Macklin rematch!!

Moore has been at light middle for years and is strong as ****... He'll be just as good if not better at middleweight where his opponents won't be as flighty.

I disagree , I think Moore is hugely underrated. I reckon he'd have a shot.

Let the attacks commence !!!!

Moore is one of my favourite fighters and I think he is great to watch and I would love him to win a world title. But sorry he gets absolutely smashed to bits by Pavlik. Moore is not chinny but he is not exactly granite chinned either, and has been badly hurt and stopped by FAR lesser fighters and smaller punchers than Pavlik.

Moore is also easy to hit and has been kept on the end of a jab and busted up by the likes of Michael Jones who is domestic level.

And to top it off he does not hit especially hard. He hits well enough but lets be honest he has landed flush time and again on Macklin, Jones and others without putting them away. He does not hit as hard as Miranda and being honest not as hard as Lockett.

So really what chance does he stand against Pavlik who is much taller, has a huge reach advantage, has taken punches from bigger hitters and still won, hits FAR harder than the guys who have hurt and stopped Jamie and who has also dealt with fast, bigger boxers like Taylor?

The answer is none. Moore gets battered in a horrible one sided thrashing.

Moore should stick at Light-Middle and he really could have a shot at a world title, but whatever he does I will be supporting him.

Light Middle is wide open at the mo, he may able to pick up a belt there, MW not sure he could cope with the world class operators in that division.

He's posted here before, maybe he'll come on and explain his decision??

This is a horrible decision, really really bad

What are his management telling him? I can't even comprehend it. They must know they have a fairly limited fighter, with a lot of heart. That in mind, he can go a long way in a division as open as light middle, Sergio Mora is a champ, or should I say chump :patsch

Instead he is going to go to middleweight, where he'll be pretty small, and get his ass whooped. Horrific advice the lad is getting.

I've always wished good fortune on Jamie Moore so will continue to support him if he does decide to move up in weight.

He fought in a 6 rounder on the undercard of the Hatton v Lazcano bill recently and I see he is due to fight for the Irish Title next month - hopefully these will provide him with some good preparation for his shot at the European Title against Zaurbek Baysangurov (in Sept now I think) as he really has been at domestic level too long.

How Is Moore fighting for the Irish title when he;s from Salford? Waste of time that fight, he should be fighting Baysangurov by now.

Moore's not even world class at Light Middle, thought he was awful against Facey and was losing until he got the KD and stoppage.

First I saw of Healy he was KO'ed by Andy Lee by a bodyshot.

By parentage(his mother is Irish) , Healy isn't great and Moore should take him within 3 .

I think this a very bad idea, RR did something similar years ago and probably cost himself a world title belt at 154.

It's quite trendy these days to have Irish roots.

Spot on assessment except I get the feeling Jamie's chance may have passed him by. He just seems to have been allowed to stagnate after that Macklin (what a f*cking fight). Great fighter though. Always guarantees action and has some really toght moves at times. I'd love to see him get that title crack... just not against Pavlik!!!
