He would have stopped Haskins 'legitimately' if not for the injury. Other than that I'd have to say quality of opposition, him naturally being such a small man and him also not having that much power for a man of his size anyway.
Anyone know where i can see the repeat or a link ? Was working when i watched it and dying to see the Napa win :-D Cheers PS. Yup, i guess i wanted to see them win as its the fighters i watched when getting into boxing. Gutted for Moore and Davies but Mapa and Rhodes just keep upsetting the odds regarding longevity etc, Great fighters. Booth, Rhodes, Napa......lifes good. :good
I left the Bolton Arena with tears in my eyes last night...Ryan Rhodes, what a ****ing warrior. The first three rounds I wondered what the hell he was playing at, I didn't expect him to try to out-tough Jamie Moore. The short right hand for the first knockdown was typical Ryan Rhodes, and as peachy as ****. I still can't believe it :happy
Puff Does'nt get much better than that. Brilliant fight. Could see the tide starting to turn after the 3rd.Wish i'd took the 12's available at that point. Think Mooresy will be kicking himself this morning. Whilst Rhodes was adapting to a change of gameplan and mindset in the 3rd Mooresy could'nt ****in miss him, especially with the left hook.Just think if he'd put a bit more malice in his shots in that rnd instead of goin for the accumalative effect he may just of had him out of there....Hindsight eh. Rhodes weathered the storm and turned it round brilliantly. What a fight. Every round surpassed the last. Great finish from Rhodes, and Mooresy showed his gonads tryin to get back into it after the knockdown. Wish I'd gone now. Must of been great to witness live. And another belter to look foward to next week:good
Well done to Ryan Rhodes he did what he had to do to win and got a brilliant stoppage, I always fancied Ryan Rhodes to win it but wanted Jamie Moore to go onto the big time, Rhodes should definetly get a shot at the title now instead of fighting Chavez... Also i like the look of Ian Napa tonight hes like a little Floyd Mayweather and if he had a bit more snap in his punches i think he could be a world champion, Maybe if h steped down a weight he could because he looked a bit fleshy round the waist... Well done to the both of them.
I know, I fill up at the drop of a hat....even thinking about "The Champ" gets me going..."He's not dead! He's not dead! I want Champ! "...i've gone:-( It was one of the best scraps i've seen in quite a while, and matched Gomez - Arthur for sheer drama. There were several points that I thought that Ryan was on his way out, but he always managed to throw something at the last minute to discourage Moore from stepping in properly for the kill. The finish was class, no panic, every shot picked and thrown with precision...great stuff. It was a top class card all around...Napa showed his class against our own and a very game Gary Davies, and Bayaar adding a bit of colour in a cracking little scrap with Chris Edwards. Bayaar looked half decent after he started to throw the straight left instead of trying to decapitate Edwards with wild, wide hooks. Price looked OK but a bit ponderous, I don't think that he has got what it takes to go beyond domestic level...having said that I would have given my right arm to have won a Lonsdale belt, so there is no shame there. The one to keep your eyes peeled for the future is a lad called Karl Place...i've been following his career with interest, and he looks the real deal to me :deal Good luck to Rocket Rushton who apparantly was rushed to hospital after being stopped last night
