I was just watching Moore-Rhodes again and wondering what the next step for Jamie is.

Small's the domestic champ but he's a wind up merchant, his last fight was **** compare that Moore's classy blood and thunder performance that could have gone either way.

People would tune in and pay good money to see Jamie dismantle Small and would get him back on the campaign trail.

Jamie should beat him, but I thought he was moving up to middle?

I think Moore is off up to middle, but assuming he can make 154 he would belt Small into next week.

Do you think staying at the weight for the British title not worth his while:think

    I don't think it is.

He's just lost the Euro at the weight and indicated that he was struggling, though he offered no excuses on the night, which was good to see.

It's 160 or bust for him IMO, but I think he'll have trouble getting a decent fight. Why get in there with him - a noted puncher that was still KO'ing people despite struggling at the weight..... whilst being avoided..... I hate to say it, but the world title dream might be over for him.

I hope I'm wrong.... he deserves his chance more than nearly all other British guys that have had a shot in recent years.

I know what your saying Beeston it's hard thing to take...but there's 'nowt wrong in ruling part of the kingdom, he's getting paid and he's got a big fan base who love to watch him fight.:good

    Yeah I kinda agree.

It depends on your make up I guess.

I'd sooner get back on the horse and take a risk of losing again (and calling it a day) rather than ruling over a pretty average division at home, with Macklin moving onto the world scene it seems. I'd put a few £££ on Moore beating Barker.

One thing you musn't forget is that Rhodes is a bloody good fighter, it isn't as if he is a domestic level hack with nothing but the odd lucky punch.... and it was a career best win for him.

Not that it would be any consolation to Moore I wouldn't think, but that (and other things) should be taken into consideration.

Jamie Moore would be wasting his time fighting Small.
For a start he's already won the lonsdale belt outright, & has been the best in Britain in his weight class for several years.
Secondly if he's struggling with the weight as badly as he suggests, and i've no reason to believe otherwise, a fight against Small would hardly generate enough cash to make the financial incentive to make 154 compelling.
If Jamie is unable to land a big fight within hte next 6-9 months, i'd like him to fight for an international/inter-continental bauble or two, and try to fasttrack himself into the top ten of all four of the major governing bodies.
These titles may mean little, but are highly effective as a means of securing an inflated ranking; just look at Baysangurov's recent fights. Knocked out in an eliminator for the IBF title, he's now the WBA's number 3 light-middle having won and defended their inter-continental title against pretty non-descript opposition.
Without wanting to labour the point I feel he's done things the 'proper' way without reward. He's gone the British/Commonwealth/Euro route only to be ****ed around for what seems an age by Baysangurov & the EBU; I think principles should be sacrificed and shortcuts should be sought.
I'm not sure he'd be willing to do so of course; because as Sky have recently decided to broadcast only meaningful, legitimate title fights (Hatton/Ndou the exception), Moore would have to fight on an undercard for a smaller paycheck. So obviously the financial implication would have to be considered as well.

    Barker would school Moore.

Injurys have held Jamie back not the EBU.

Barker v Moore is the ultimate clash of styles, Moore is way too good to make this easy for Barker.

So hope this fight happens. Barker 115-113 ish imo

Moore is way to good? Dont mean to be rude mate but who the **** has Moore beat? His best win is against a weight drained Macklin Moore is very over rated, id have Barker stopping him around eight.

Fair enough Barker also hasnt fought that many decent fighters, but I just feel Moore is a bit over rated.
