After reading the other thread about Jamie Moore being up to #3 in the WBC rankings and this fight was mentioned I just wonder how do you guys think this fight would go?
Cintron would justifiably start favourite but Moores strengths do match well with Cintrons weaknesses. I'd probably go for Cintron but its def. doable for Moore.
i would expect cintron to be too much for him but if jamie pulled it out of the bag i wouldnt be too suprised
Cintron would put him to sleep. Angulo would put him to sleep. Forrest would put him to sleep. etc etc.
id go Kermit vi KO but not a result id want. Just think its step into true world class for Moore and he could walk onto something but Gaz has got it spot on its a good style match up
would be a big step up for Mooresy but the way he's looked in his last 2 fights i would'nt write him off. The lad wants it bad.
Agree. I sparred Jamie when i was about 11/12 and he would have been about 17/18. It was only the 3rd time i had been boxing and the trainer told me to use my jab, so me being dumb just used my jab and got bounced around the ring. Fond memories at Little Hulton boxing club
Too much of a step up. Cintron did look awful last 2 times out but he's only ever lost to Margarito. Moore would be better advised going in with Kermit The Frog. Or at the most Vernon Forrest due to his age. But Cintron has the reach and power to stop Moore early. Piccirillo was way past his best and there as a punching bag with a good name. Stick him him in with a John Duddy and if he gets rid of him in good style then by all means give him a shot at a title.
:huh Did you see the Angulo fight... I have watched a good bit of Cintron and i feel that was easily his best boxing performance
I did see it yeah but wasn't impressed first time around. I just feel a guy who was essentially a wrecking ball with impressive power shouldn't be beating an angulo over 12 by a few rounds. And if you feel he was impressive that adds more clout to the side of the argument whereby Moore has next to no chance. If Cintron has the power and then the boxing ability then I see no chance of Moore beating him. I'd love to be wrong but it's just my opinion.
Depends on the mentality of Jamie Moore. If he went in there confident and aggressive, keeping tight but putting on a lot of pressure, not only is that proven to unravel Cintron but it also takes a lot of leverage off his right hand. He reminds me of Tszyu in that respect, they can't really punch going back. If he faultered a little, and got it into his head that he's moving up a huge level and paid Cintron too much respect, the power of Cintron comes into play. Moore hasn't had to deal with that power so we don't know how he reacts to it.
I thought the scoring was a bit odd i had cintron a clear winner while Kellerman was licking angulos nut sack. Angulo showed he could take a punch but not much else. I thought Cintron showed things he really stuck too. His jab was good and he was setting up combinations well off them. I'll probably watch the fight again to see make sure im not talking crap. Imo Cintron's best Performance's for Boxing was this fight. His power has to be Matthysse. Although i haven't seen the N'Dou fight. I'll try dig it out though
Moore should fight an N'Dou or someone of that ilk. The step up would be too sudden for a Moore vs Cintron fight whereas if he can deal with N'Dou the boost of confidence he could get would serve him better than going into the unknown and jumping straight into world class.
