I think he would struggle from the small amount I have seen of Mora. But he is someone you would like due to his give everything style. He is in terms of attitude and will to fight like Pavlik, just no way near as good and without the jab or size.

But he is never in a dull fight, gets up off the floor, bleeding and hurt to grit his teeth and go to war and more often than not wins.

He is fringe world class at light middle on his absolute best day, but more a European level fighter. Moving up is a mistake, I don't see how it can help him, his punches will be less effective, because he is not starving himself to make Light-Middle and he will be being hit by bigger punchers.

I don't know where you can get any fights of his, but if you can try and watch Moore v Macklin and the third fight against Jones. You will be a fan.

    WTF?!?!?

    Hes too small!!!!

Its a good and bad thing...

Good - He will get exposure he wouldnt otherwise get

Bad - Hes going to catch a beating

I really like Moore and have tried my best to follow him despite him getting zero coverage just about.... im a fan...

Jamie Moore wants to die in a boxing ring by the looks of it

I don't know what his management are telling him, its really poor stuff.

    Source?

Moore isn't even world class at Light Middle and was losing the Facey fight until he pulled out a KD and stoppage.

He will be 'forced to' if he wants to retain his titles. Plus, compared to Kelly damned near the whole MW division is a bunch of cans.

I don't know the landscape at LM, but MW is thin once you get past Pavlik. Or at least by comparison to Pavlik it is thin. People know Kelly may move up at the end of the year so that might be the motivation?

Taylor, Abraham, Wright? That is three fighters of a far higher standard than say Phillips, Mora and Alcine. DLH is basically retired. Forrest is good...and Spinks is good but not a KO threat.

Moore could aim to beat a Mora or a Phillips. He stands no chance against Abraham, Taylor, Wright...never mind Pavlik.

Taylor is now SMW, well supposedly, he hasn't signed a fight yet. Winky would never fight a 'no name'. Hell, he only has 3 MW bouts and the last over a year ago. That leaves Abraham. (can you call Winky a MW if he only wants to fight Pavlik?)

It's getting harder and harder to rank winky at 160 due to his inactivity.

Moore is a pretty good fighter. I'm a big fan of his but he doesn't have much chance in this one.

Just out of interest Strike, how do you think Moore does against Alcine, Simms and Phillips? I think he could take all thee. I'd definetly pick him over the once highly touted Simms and probably Alcine too.

I'd love to see Moore vs. Kirkland in a bit though. That would be one hell of a fight.

I think they would all be tough fights for Moore because he is simply not world class in most of what he does. But he has the heart and aggression to make it tough for any of the guys you mentioned and he could beat them. I would give him a chance, provided he was in perfect shape and totally focused....he has the tenacity and a good tight attack and moves his head better than he used to.

But against the likes of Pavlik, Taylor etc it is a total mismatch.
