Don't take it as a given that Jamie wil star at Middleweight. In fact he could be well advised to look at Ryan's record. People seem to forget that Ryan is UNDEFEATED at Light Middleweight. His 4 losses all came at the step up weight. Ryan without bulking up the body is a good sized LM - with Middleweight power. Not ehough when in the Middleweight division, but perfect for Light Middle.
He certainly couldn't take a MW punch, even at domestic level. Wonder what that would mean for him against harder hitting LMW's like Cintron.
his coach dave coldwell came on here and said he wouldnt want to face Cintron unless it was a world title fight. If Rhodes wants a shot i think he has gotta be prepared to go to the states. Perhaps if Haye fights his mandatory Ruiz in the US, could get Rhodes vs Martinez on the undercard.
Doubt it mate. Hayemaker is dead in the water. If Dsvid thought anything about the boxers who were Hayemaker fighters, he'd have tried to make them part of his deal with Sky - he didn't. As a free agent I expect there'll be better offers elsewhere.
not true at all. they did try and make it part of the deal. his deal with sky is a one off. so if Haye wins it puts him in a very good position where he can negotiate a deal with Sky for Hayemaker. they also have Rhodes who is european champion and will get a world title fight in under a year. So Hayemaker would be promoting 2 of the top 5 fighters in britain in Haye and Rhodes.
Rob, Wrong mate. Oh and for the avoidance of doubt Rhodes is not a Hayemaker fighter, he's a free agent - for now.
