Any fighter whos been the top british fighter as long as he has deserves his shot.

I havent seen his losses but someone said only one was genuine - is that true?

jamie moore actually has a much better chance than angulo, who has terrible balance and telegraphs all his shots, and kirkland - a stumpy short legged southpaw lacy - of winning a world title.

he heaps on pressure better than them, has some underrated wins such as a domination of lujan when moore had limited use of left arm (his best punch), as well as matthew macklin (current british champ at 160). moore is very compact, throws accurate short punches and makes the ring smaller very effectively.

he has had to wait so long for the EBU title shot, was ducked by baysangurov who he'd have smashed to pieces, doesn't seem to have the backing to get him quick rankings. moore is back to using the lethal double left hook combo. he has career momentum right now, and i feel he's ready to take down the slick but fragile martinez.

Well it looks as if Proksa is going to have to chase Moore down because he sure as **** aint gonna take him on as a voluintary defense.

Seems to happen to Proksa often....

    What he said.

Moore is going to be one of those fighters that is about at the right time, he might win a world title but he will never be world class in my eyes, he is just about at the right time like people like Nardiello, Malinga, Gavin Rees.

No one knows who Proska is. Can you tell us something about him, point us to some videos?

Jamie Moore has actually been kept at domestic level for a long time. At domestic level, he fought the best of Britain - Michael Jones (3x), Matthew Macklin, the horrible tricky spoiler Andrew Facey. Jones went on to challenge for EBU title - before Moore! Macklin is current British champ at 160 thanks to 2-round destruction of Wayne Elcock. Facey has a win over Macklin. Moore also beat Sebastian Lujan, a former world rated welterweight; and demolished former world title challenger Piccirillo.

Right- in britain, when you say LIGHT MIDDLEWEIGHT, it is a bit of a joke. Just before Moore's time, there were exciting light middles Anthony Farnell, Takaloo, Wayne Alexander. Some of them had fought each other before. When they were more well know, we all wanted to see wars between these exciting fighters. They all basically went seperate ways, winning fringe titles and not having the best fights...Jamie Moore is a different breed of fighter. He has had some of the best fights ever seen in this country, especially v Macklin and Michael Jones (3rd fight).

Jamie Moore ducks no one. He wants a world title. Maybe Proska just doesn't fit in with Moore's plans.

Disagree totally. Moore's same age as Froch and just as able to win a world title and be in some great fights. Maybe even attract a big name up from welter, one day.

Just cos he's good and from Europe doesn't = European class, at best.

I actually think Moore is a better fighter than Hatton. Cleaner puncher, more compact, wastes hardly any shots but still sets a murderous pace.

No its because he is not very quick, hard punching, and his punch variety is not that impressive either, he is a methodical straight up and down fighter, he would of gotten a Boxing lesson from a prime Winky,Forrest,McCallum because they are world class he is not.

Well Moore has not beaten any fighters as good as Hatton so.......

well Moore's career has been handled differenty. Some harsh ppl - not me - would say his team haven't got the clout to move him up. Others might say that a post Warren demand for quality domestic battles, by certain TV, kept Moore in British title fights when he could have moved onto something bigger.

Moore has nice variety, switches well - from southpaw to orthodox, from head to body. METHODICAL is the right word: this is good. Controlled pressure, and he has the right punch for the right situation, and makes the ring smaller.

I reckn Moroe will surprise you, provided we see him in there with someone like WBC champ Martinez.

Listen i got nothing against Moore he seems like a nice guy and a tidy Boxer, but i myself just dont think he is on that level World Class, my critera for a World Class 154 pounder is a prime Wink and i think he would white wash Moore because he is on a different level.

Moore has a window of opportunity because he is in the right place at the right time, if there was an established champ like Williams or prime Winky then Moore would be a solid contender but nothing more imo.

anyway we'll have to see what happens. personally i think he could dethrone the best of the current champs, a very skilled Sergiy Dzinziruk.

Forrest would have been a good fight as Forrest hates pressure - indeed, sometimes panics when pushed hard - and is getting on a bit.

2 IFs - if moore gets a shot, ever; if he wins when given the opportunity

nonetheless, i think that even if he doesn't get there, he's such a exciting fighter that he could be an attraction as - to different degrees - were gatti and katsidis. moore has a massive heart, recovers well from being hurt and can be so exciting to watch.

my view is that the cool professional moore we've seen of recent with the lethal double left combo, will be bustin' heads & takin' names at world level.
