What weight would you fight Manfredo at?

Gotta be honest can't see either of those coming off at the moment.
I would of thought you would have a shout of getting Barker in the ring. He needs a better level of opponent and it would be a cracking domestic fight. Barker does decent numbers on the t.v. and your fights are always exciting so it should get picked up!

I'd fight him at whatever weight he wanted above 11st 6lb. Barker is a step down as far as i'm concerned, it's a good fight but i have a lonsdale belt and was at that level too long. Barker has POTENTIAL, but i have been reading in other threads things like 'who will fight for a world title in 2010, Macklin or Barker'!! To suggest Barker is anywhere near ready for that yet after the opponents he's faced is crazy. Some people question weather i'm good enough to fight for a world title or not, then rave about Barker as the next coming.
Look at his record and you will see where i'm coming from.:good

Totally agree. I'm a big fan of Barkers but he is not ready yet. Would like to see him against Macklin but that is not gonna happen either. The elcock fight would have been a good test if it had happened but there you go. I actually went to that anyway but it didn't really give much more info on darrens ability.
Do you think there is any chance of you getting a shot at Manfedo?

It's a ****in crying shame that more fighters do not have the same attitude squire, perhaps you could have a word with a certain Mr Mayweather and explain things to him.

Good luck in your next fight Mr Moore, Im sure you will give us another candidate for fight of the year:bbb

thats a fair assesment but you could of said the same thing about half the british fighters to fight for a world title. Ricky Burns is fighting for a world title this year.

Clearly at the moment Macklin is ahead of Barker but record is not everything and when they were due to fight people saw it as a 50-50 fight. If Barker was with a better promoter he would have faced better opponents and be in a position to fight for a world title. You have to remember he has been an active pro half the amount of time as Macklin but is only 2-3 fights behind him. He won the Commonwealth 3 years after turning pro and the British after 5 years which is simular to yourself, it took Macklin 8 years to get to that level.

Calling Barker a step down in nonsence, he is ranked 4th by the EBU and you are ranked 6th so the winner would become mandatory for the European. It would be a big fight for the fans and would sell a decent sized venue in London or Manchester and Sky would be very intrested. If your not fighting for a European, Domestic or World title Eliminator you would have to be on an undercard which means purse for your opponent wouldnt be high and they wont be a decent opponent. I think i speak for every single poster on here in saying other than a World title fight and Macklin, Barker is the only fight out there for you that we would really be intrested in seeing.

I agree you were at British title level for far to long, I dont know the ins and outs but from the Macklin fight you were ready to move on and it took Maloney 3 years to get you a World Title Eliminator and if you had beat Rhodes it would of been another year before you got your title shot and it would have been otuside of the UK.

Realisticly you cannot wait that long again. With Warren you could get a title shot in 3 fights and with Hatton you could get the Macklin fight.

Yeh to be fair that was a dumb choice. I mean someone thats been in there with the likes of Macklin/Barker over 8 rounds then into a Barker fight.

If Moore thinks Maloney gets him an opponent better than barker before September this year he is kidding himself.

No, I already said earlier in the thread I would like to see Jamie against Duddy or Martin Murray - infact I have been saying it for a couple of months now! I think either of them would be a good fight to come back to, especially when fighting at a new weight and it would an exciting fight for the fans as well.

The Duddy fights an interesting one, with both their irish connections, Duddy being a decent name over the pond, but I very much doubt he'd want to step in with Jamie.

Am I the only one on here who thinks Moore will be stronger at Middleweight? I think if he gets the turns he's deserved (after all he's given everyone else a chance) and he can keep injury free he can be back where he was pre-Rhodes within a year or so.

Moore Vs Macklin 2 for a world title anyone? :D

Also Jamie if your reading this mate good luck, true warrior.

    Ok so not EVERYBODY!!!

If Barker is a step down then then Murray is a bigger one.

Duddy would be good to see but he doesn't get in the ring with anyone decent and there bigger money fights fro Duddy in Macklin and Andy Lee. Duddy would be a bigger fight but certainly not a tougher one. Theres no way Maloney could make the fight.

Both would be good fights no doubt, but I think 95% of UK boxing fans would want to see him face Barker ahead of Murray and Duddy

Yeah, but for his first fight at a new weight after a loss? I would rather that Jamie gets more accustomed to the weight before taking on Barker - maybe face him later in the year.

What gets overlooked is that Jamie, while obviously drained (to my eyes anyway, from the first bell), came within a twat's hair of knocking Rhodes out in that last round.
