Just home, covered the fights but ready for bed. My full recap will be on the main ESB Site tomorrow. Apologies if the AM fight results are wrong...they are very skeptical with informing us about exact scores- some decent scraps though. One or two standouts on the main card as well AM Bouts: Pat Eagan V Reagan Dessaix- PTS Decision Regan Dessaix Jacob Ng V Jayden Higgens- Points decision Higgens Hayden Forbes V Jack Bowen- Points Bowen Travis Chambers V Matthew Martin -PTS Chambers. Pro Fights Dean Garmonsway TKO 4 Scott Carroll (more to come on that) Nadine Brown Majority Decision Sarah O'Connell Tainui Crouch UD Judd Cornnwell Craig Hill Jr TKO4 Casey Hannan Ryan Langham KO2 Brendan Batty
Bizarre end to the Carroll fight. He won every minute of every round but was cut over the right eye and between the eyes in the first, then under the bottom lip in the 3rd. He dislocated his shoulder just before the end of the 3rd and had to retire in between rounds. The Kiwi who had shown an awesome chin and toughness was a popular winner just by way of having hung in there despite taking a pretty decent array of shots without looking to fold. Brown V O'Connor was the fight of the night and if you get the chance to watch Craig Hill Jr - take it, he is a real talent. An excellent night of fights by Jamie Myer
...how did the Hannan/Craig Hill fight pan out mate?...I realise Casey got stopped but was it close until then?
Hannan won the first on workrate and IMO Hill won the next two, Casey gave it all but Hills was too classy in the end and is a very dangerous puncher - the result was always on the cards... Casey showed great class in defeat and is a likeable lad.
Meant to write that..-stopped at the end of the 3rd- Hannan did look good early. Hill's counter punching was excellent and when he got inside he was super productive- it was easy to see that Casey was being hurt in their and that the end was inevitable. Glad it got stopped when it did, Casey took some big shots against the ropes leading to the stoppage. I'd like to see a rematch in a years time maybe.
...hey thanks buddy...I had a feelin' Hill is somethin' special and Case' was in a tough match up...Casey's still young ..he'll be back...:good
..thanks buddy...I've only seen Hill in one fight but you can tell he's got that little somethin'...and Casey has got plenty of improvement in him...he'll turn out a good fighter as he develops more and more too... ..thanks again.:good
parsons v hill back in may showed that hill will need to keep his hands up when he steps up in opposition.
