I like Berto, but I have to disagree. I think it'll be a good fight, but mosley can win. Berto will catch his first L.

Will be a good scrap for the first half of the fight but Mosley stops him around the 7-9 round mark. Shane is just better then Berto at this point in their careers. Simple.

My opinion for what is worth

*Andre Berto is 26 years old--Shane Mosley is 38--So yes Andre has a chance to win simply on youth. Much like Jermain Taylor beat Bernard Hopkins. Taylor won just being a more active fresher fighter, not skill.

*Berto has the speed to fight with Mosley. At this stage Berto probably is a little quicker.

*Shouldn't young fighters beat older fighters. So if Berto were to win it wouldn't be a huge surprise.

*Berto has a very questionable chin. He was knocked down by a featherfised Cosme Rivera and stunned by another average puncher Luis Collazo. The question is how will it hold up against Mosley. Could this be another Vargas-Trinidad. Where Berto just wasn't ready for Mosley.

Here is my opinion Berto will win some rounds, 4 or 5 or so. But in the end Mosley's savvy, chin, and power will carry the day via decision. Berto has heart and talent, but Mosley is a future Hall of Famer still fighting well. It seems to me the young american fighters of today are missing something. I don't know if it is the USA amateur program, or whatever. Be it Victor Ortiz, Berto, etc. But for a guy as talented as Berto he should not be struggling against guys like Cosme Rivera, Juan Urango, and Luis Collazo. Does anybody remember when De La Hoya, Mosley, Jones jr, and Mayweather were coming up. They were destroying that level of competition. Just dominating that level of opponent. But it seems todays young fighters aren't doing it. The only 2 I see who are doing pretty well are Paul Williams and Chad Dawson. In the end, shouldn't Andre Berto be expected to beat Shane Mosley simply on age alone. if he will is another matter all together

I reckon we won't see the same Mosley as we did against Margarito and he could be outpointed.

If he comes in full force though, he'll flatten Berto.

Berto went life to death with a feather fisted puncher Collazo, and many people believe Berto lost to Collazo

Mosley will dominate Berto EASILY...Berto might as well just hand ova his belt

I think Berto has a very good shot to win this fight but the only thing I worry about is his chin. Im not sure how good it is. If he can titghten up his defense though, I think he can get the decision becasue he got good speed, and Mosley tends to fight reckless at times leaving himself open.

Berto already lost to Mosley's leftovers(Collazo).

RIP Berto. Shane will walk through and blast him out a lot easier than he did Margarito because of Andre's shaky chin. I have a feeling Berto will try to run around the ring and pot shot but Mosley will hunt him down and bomb him out.

Mosley is getting into that ass. Berto gets hit easily. Has a questionable chin. This is going to be one of those incredible KOs like he did to Vargas, Mayorga, and Margarito.

I'm going to agree with you at least in the sense that I don't believe the Mosley that we see is the Mosley that is. Mosley looked consistently awful in 2004, 2005 and 2006 and that wasn't just due to Winky. He even looked shitty in his first fight against Vargas and Vargas was definitely not even near his peak. Mosley looked like a genius boxer when he fought against Margarito, but I have my concerns that Margarito just never would have been on Mosley's level. It's like watching Roy Jones vs Jeff Lacy - does anyone really believe that Jones is back to stay?

I'll never say never, but I think that the modern view on Mosley is tainted by his recent opponents. I like Mosley and I'm hoping the best man wins, but I'm trying not to get caught up in the post-Margarito hype.

Mosley will beat him up. Berto is nothing special, I can't believe people think Berto has a chance in hell against PBF. He will be punching air all night against PBF.

As much as I would love Berto to destroy Mosley and end that piece of ****'s career, I just don't see it happening. Berto may be better than Mosley physically and athletically, but in terms of skill Mosley is way better. Berto has shown many occassions where he was velnerable, not just against Collazo, against Estrada he struggled, and even though he was dominating the fight Cosme Rivera was able to knock him down. COSME RIVERA! He's garbage. I'd love to see Berto win because I dislike Mosley as much as I dislike any boxer out there but I can't honestly say that Berto would beat him, especially with Nazim in his corner.

I think Shane is being overrated for the Margo win; he has been VERY inconsistent in the last few years. But he takes this - his skill and chin should trump Berto's youth and athleticism. Even if you give Berto a speed edge (debateable), he can't outbox Shane. UD Shane or TKO 6-10.

Berto's only chance is if we see the sluggish Mosely of the Mayorga fight, but I don't see that happening. Shane has alot riding on this fight and should be well prepared.

One of the most under rated issues in a boxing match is -- hunger. Shane has done it all and I don't think he will have the hunger here. He may even tend to underestimate Berto. I agree with the comparison to Taylor and Hopkins, that it is possible for Shane to get outworked here athletically based on age. Two people with skills. This is a BIG fight for Berto and small potatoes for Shane, even if someone were to say Shane was thinking down the line to Pac or PBF or Cotto II. On the other hand, sometimes younger fighters have too much respect for "legends". I don't think this one is clear cut, but I think Berto has a good chance to win this.
Even for those who think Berto is biting off more than he can chew, he has to take this fight. There is no place to run now....
