The start of the 2014 calander has some pretty intriguing fights. Who are you looking forward to watching in the early new year? 2014 is gonna be a good year Got Mares/Gonzales II, Pascal/Bute and Spilka/Jennings early they are legit fights
I might be going to the FNF card Jan. 10th at Emerald Queen Casino highlighted by... Arash Usmanee vs. Juan Antonio Rodriguez Zahir Raheem vs. Bayan Jargal Lateef Kayode vs. TBA
its a fan friendly one should be fun to watch those guys are some heavy hitters and we kno bute my not be able to take a good punch so im guna go with a pascal ko in this one
I also like: Jan. 22- Moruti Mthalane vs. Amnat Ruenroeng in Thailand for Mthalane's IBF in his far too long hiatus in the hottest division in the sport; flyweight Jan. 25- Mikey Garcia vs. Juan Carlos Burgos for Garcia's WBO Jan. 25- Jermell Charlo vs. Gabriel Rosado in what I think will be entertaining if less relevant than the rest listed here Jan. 30- Victor Ortiz vs. Luis Collazo in Ortiz's first fight in 18+ months Feb. 15- Jhonny Gonzalez vs. Abner Mares II for Jhonny's WBC Feb. 22- Simpiwie Vetyeka vs. Akifumi Shimoda for Vetyeka's WBA in Vetyeka's well deserved US exposure debut I will say that the annual New Year's Eve fights in Japan are very good ones. Takashi Uchiyama vs. Daiki Kaneko Takashi Miura vs. Dante Jordan + Carlos Cuadras and Kohei Kono Kazuto Ioka vs. Felix Alvarado + Ryo Miyazaki
I don't think Pascal is all that capable of delivering his power in ways that will straight drop Bute. Bute didn't take Froch's punches at all and Pascal at LHW almost certainly hits harder than he does. While the increase in weight probably won't help Bute in many aspects at all, it is possible he takes a better punch. I think the worthy bet here is Pascal via decision. I don't like Bute and never rated him as high as others, but I don't think he should be treated as an epic huge massive underdog.
whos kayode gunna fite. i also wanna see him fight not that i think hes good but i wanna see him fight sumone good becuz his chin is gunna get tested.. and i wana see if he get bambi legs or not..
no hes deff not a crazy underdog or nothing. but im still rolling wit pascal by ko... and if these guys are still standing in the championship rounds these are gonna be some tired mofos. these two seem to tire in the later half of fights ... pascal cant feed his guns enough oxygen n he will tired so if bute comes in really good shape and doesnt get tired in there he can outbox him or knock him out late because butes power is legit i believe. but his chin on the other hand not so much. and pascals power is gonna be very dangerous early in the fight but if bute survives it he might be able to beat him in decision or get him outta there late
TBA 6 or 8 rounder. It'll be against a 24-10 type, "was once in a decent fight and once got blown out by a formerly ranked guy," type of opponent. I don't like Kayode but for whatever reason I do have some minimal interest in him.
man is he a heavyweight now or wut?? i seen him fite at cruiser all those time on shobox n he never looked like anything special but he keeps winning and he still a prospect. i guess there managing his career smartly because he was never ready to step up .. cuz he should had sum kos and i dont think he ko'd anyone in his televised fight but the tarver fight wasnt bad and if i remember correctly i think i had lateef winning and tarver was on sumthing that fight i forget wut he failed for. i coulda swore a little while back i was hearing rumors of ruiz jr vs kayode which would be awsome to my boy ruiz jr take out kayode. but ruiz didnt look all that great vs hammer he was gettin hit alot in that fight but he showed a good chin but man that guy is fat.. cant he get in any better looking shape...but sum guys are just like that cant get in good shape maybe that is the case.. there sum gym rats at my gym that dont look like anything special and they can spar hard forever but sparring is differ then a real fight
