Is this how Anthony Joshua would fall before the might of a prime Joe Louis?

If you think Buddy Baer was as skilled as Joshua, yes you would think that. Unfortunately it is not out of the realm of possibility that there are a few people on this forum who might believe that

In fairness I don’t think Buddy Baer was the fighter that Anthony Joshua is. But yes, Joe Louis was more than capable of reaking havock on some very big and powerful men.

The title clearly says "modernly sized". Ion think skills are a part of your height and weight unless you truly are a size queen to end all size queens

But I agree with your sentiment, thinking Buddy Baer has the skill of Anthony Joshua is ridiculous

Almost as ridiculous as thinking Joshua has the skill of Louis

Buddy may not be as technical as Joshua but he was obviously a very big strong man. Joshua goes out the same way Buddy does

Tbh Joshua would be more competitive, but not by much. A spiteful Louis was a force of nature and Joshua's chin can't hack it. Like Louis going on all out offence is literally a KO in 3.

Joshua against a more placid Louis (Buddy 1, Conn 1, Godoy 1 ect) is a much tighter affair, although I pick Louis by KO in that match up as well. Louis probably gets dropped tho.

A small heavyweight by modern standards who proved he could take out modern sized heavyweights of ability with his speed ,skills, punch placement , and blisteringly accurate combinations.

Although both fighters have been down in their respective careers, but I think that Joe Louis would take this match over Lennox Lewis. Lewis has a lot of advantages, but Joe had the punching power, and a tougher jaw. Joe by TKO 9.

    Hmm... very interesting description.

Now if you used that description of a fighter but didn’t put a name to him, I wonder what names would posters come up with if they had to guess who it was?

Joshua would put up a much better fight but even he would fall circa round 4.

Well, I could tell you who they wouldn't think it was! But some how I think you might be able to guess that .
The clues are in, speed, skills, punch placement, accuracy.blistering combinations!
I would hazard a guess the guy most would be reminded of by those adjectives would be Tyson?
