8-Ogata showed some purpose early but think he'll be kicking himself as Araki finished with the bigger more memorable shots.

Araki got the decision! Seemed to be some worry that he was about to get robbed!

    Shoma Fukumoto (8-1, 6) v Naoki Wada (10-9-2, 2)

1-Fukumoto stalking, Wada landing some loving quickly shots off the back foot, Wada actually looking good here and is landing a fair bit-though some are landing on the guard, Wada down-Fukumoto showing difference in power!

Japanese title fight first, Aoqui to the ring with a "half and half" flag to show his peculiar background

    Hiroki Okada (12-0, 10) vs Cristiano Aoqui (11-4-2, 7)
1-Okada takes center ring but Aoqui throws the first punch, Okada coming forward early, Aoqui using speed and lands a good body shot, Aoqui comes forward and backs Okada up before getting out. Clear edge in speed to the challenger, Okada looks like the stalking puncher looking for an opening and lands a nasty left hook. Aoqui coming forward more and landing more but Okada with a nasty shot to the body, Aoqui forces Okada on to the ropes, nice uppercut from Okada on the ropes, a hard straight to the body from Okada, hard right from Okada, Aoqui comes forward and lands one but takes one, wild shot from Aoqui. 10-9 Okada quality vs quantity

2-Aoqui starting fast and backs up Okada but never has him in any real trouble, Okada marching forward looking for counter shots, Aoqui doing well at neutralising Okada for the most part, hard body shot from Okada, Okada looks to burst into action but the right hand flies over Aoqui, Aoqui's movement doing him a lot of favours, Okada tries to smash through the guard. Aoqui round!

    19-19

3-Aoqui standing just outside of range and looking to come in when he wants, Aoqui backs Okada on to the ropes but can't land much, over-hand right by Aoqui, Aoqui warned about using his head, right hand from the challenger and another, Okada looking to establish his jab, Aoqui continues to press the champion back. Referee looks at their heads following a clash-no damage, Aoqui continuing to press the champion, Okada forced back across the ring, and Okada turns Aoqui, a bit of a high skilled slugfest now, GREAT right hand on the bell by Aoqui. 2-1 Aoqui

4-Aoqui backs up Okada early, looks like he smells a wounded animal....Okada fires back, Okada taking over and Aoqui looking like damaged goods....Okada takes the round after solid work through the second half. 38-38

5-Aoqui looking more cautious now, big right hand from Aoqui backs up Okada, Okada with a body shot, and another-HARD one, Okada taking over again and Aoqui clearly slowing, right hand over by Aoqui, Okada forces him backwards, solid straight up top by Okada and another body shot, and another body shot-Okada trying to break Aoqui's mid section. Good Okada round!
