Jared Anderson done dirty

Anderson seems like a nice kid. I think he might have caught a break with the visa issues, because Martin has lost whatever ambition he had and is a soft touch. Probably too soon for a hometown fight.

 

If he had a mental breakdown there with Roy I don't think he would be able to handle someone that eats his shots and whacks him hard and moves forward. I wouldn't be surprised if Martin beats him.

You know, I am not real big on Anderson at this point, but I am going to go out on a limb and defend him here, because I have heard trainers talk about how you have to know your fighters and what they need to hear.

I remember, for example, Lou Duva saying that if Pernell Whitaker comes to him and says, "I'm tired," you got to say "**** you you're tired...everyone's tired...get your ass back in there..." But if Evander Holyfield says the same thing, you have to take a different approach because he won't respond to that. If Anderson is looking to Roy Jones to be that father figure, then that is what he needs.

I used to be a big fan of Lou Duva because of his stable. I hope it works out with Roy Jones Jr. helping Anderson. I'm all for it if one of my favorite boxers ever can train his fighter to be the heavyweight champion in the future!
