Haha. He's not going to pay you any commission. He's been angling for a job for the last two years, but seems to have been given up now. He talks utter nonsense in the interviews I've seen of him.

Ummm, ok. I just @'d him because I know he used to post on here. IIRC he tried to solicit his coaching services to Wilder and Joshua. That wasn't going to work for a multitude of reasons. Not least of which that they're both brainless dilletantes. I haven't watched any of his youtube videos so I can't comment on what you're purporting but rest assured, his boxing knowledge far surpasses yours or mine.

He's coming along at a good time, he should be peaking when all the talented fighters are hanging up the gloves. Even now I think he could possibly beat Whyte.

it seems rather more hopeful for americans than probable

americans are drumming andersons name everywhere. its a bit cringe and desperate.

did the same with Seth Mitchell, Eddie Chambers (moving up to HW), Malik Scott, Darmani Rock and others

Let's see him face a top 20 guy with a chin first. The hype is unwarranted as of now

Not sold on him as of yet. He looks OK, some talent clearly but until he steps up and fights someone half decent who puts some pressure on him we really don't know. I'd like to see him in with someone like Takam who showed against Mahkmudov that he can still expose flaws in the up and comers.

But even if Anderson does one day win a title I don't see him unifying. His style with his chin in the air at heavyweight will cost him at some point at a higher level and the way he plants himself, throws then stays there to be countered. You can get away with that at this level but when he steps up he's going to get tagged. Right now I see him like a heavyweight Josh Kelly, all flash, little substance. Until he proves otherwise I don't see him as a top contender.

Too soon to know. I need to see him in with someone tough like Bakole or Makhmudov.

The heavyweight division needs ambitious fighters who are willing to take on anybody. Because of weak promoters, too many good heavyweights like Hrgovic, Sanchez, Wallin and Bakole are inactive or having meaningless fights.

Ruiz, Wilder, Fury, Joshua and several others who have better promoters don't seem to want to fight anymore.

Joyce and Anderson are among the few who are keeping the division going.

Poll needed a "too early to tell" option. That would've likely received the most responses.

Me? Too early to tell

he’s only 23, there’s still years of Top Rank digging up jobbers with pretty records for the Great American Hope until the belts split

Needs a lot of defensive refinement. Very wide guard and wide stance, some work on the head movement needed, left to right with hands up. If he carries on like that he will need to have a chin like granite to progress much further.

He might nab a belt, he's big and young and game with what seems a solid chin. Not really sold on his skills though. Awful defence and hasn't really worked out how to prevent counter shots when going on the offensive. Reminds me a bit of Parker in that regard, though with heavier and slower hands.

I like the idea of putting him in with Takam. The old man can definitely be a great litmus test for him.
