This, people don't realize that Dubois has the same height and reach as Parker, he's not a giant in this division. ATM Jared Anderson looks more fluid and more dynamic, but that could change once he steps up. He lunges forward with his head when he throws big punches, that's a bad position to eat a counter. It would be a good fight, atm I don't know who I'd pick.
No I don't train. Too early to ascertain much at this stage of his career. He's got an exciting style and seems to have a wicked right hand, but he seems a little wild at times and crude but that might just be because he's not fought anyone good enough yet as a pro for him to need to show anything but the most basic approach. Plus at 26 he's still got years to improve and peak. Much like with any prospect it all comes down to his progression, will he constantly improve like Fury and Joshua did to become world class or will he stagnate early and never go beyond domestic level like so many others. Impossible to say right now. But I'll be rooting for his success much like I did for his father.
Anderson is faster, has better variety, hits hard himself, is just as big both in terms of weight and dimensions or roughly the same, and he puts his shots together well. But Dubois has a great jab and possess savage one punch power and we have no idea if Anderson can take a shot or not yet. Dubois can take out anybody if he lands flush with that piledriver right hand of his and even if Anderson can take a good shot he could get laid out by one of those.
Crossroads fight? Doubt their paths cross for another 3 to 4 years. They have already started positioning Dubois (too quickly imho). Anderson is a great prospect, but way down the ladder
I don't see what others are seeing I don't see it. He didn't look impressive in his last 2 fights. He doesn't have notable speed, his head movement is subpar, he has slow feet, and he's cocky enough gladly takes shots to give shots.... which is not a good trait Anderson isn't seen as a world beater in this forum but who's to say he would even beat Dubois ? As far as im concerned Dubois gets him out of there inside 6. I think the kid has a high ceiling because he's young and i just have a hunch he has huge potential but as of now he's not that guy. I don't even think he would beat Takam if they were to fight right now
Good solid matchup. Toss up in my opinion. The slight advantage should go to Dubois given he has a better resume. Anderson is yet to fight a real challenge.
I used to think Anderson because he seemed to have better skills, but the fact is Dubois will land on that chin and Anderson will go down. Credit to Dubois for taking the harder match-ups in the past few years and developing more. Triple D knocks him out cold.
Dubois hits too hard, in my opinion even harder than Bakole, and he would knock out Anderson without any problems...
Yup. Dubois doesn't have the greatest chin himself, but he's like George Chuvalo compared to Anderson. Dubois shatters that fragile mandible, early.
