Didn't Bakole claim to put Usyk innthe hospital after a sparring session or am I thinking of someone else?
I have Bakole winning by stoppage inside 6. Huge guy, very fluid, solid power, nice combinations and body work. Also counters well. Anderson has a chance though. He's athletic and fast, good gas tank, nice technique, can switch stances. Still young and fresh. If he can survive the first half of the fight he has a decent chance of outpointing Bakole whose stamina is a weak point. Don't see that happening though. Anderson doesn't have the power to get Bakole's respect early and his defence is iffy, I just see Bakole walking him down behind the jab and eventually bullying him to a stoppage as Anderson will just take too many shots. Great matchup.
I'm very disappointed in Anderson but I don't think Bakole is really very good at all. I see Anderson winning a very competitive decision with a number of scary moments
If Bakole can come into the ring not weighing as much as a baby whale then he has a great chance. But every fight he's been getting fatter and fatter...
I think Anderson deserves credit for taking this fight too. Maybe it's due to overconfidence or he and his team have miscalculated and just don't realize how much of a dangerman Bakole is. They might have looked at Bakole's resume (which isn't really impressive albeit through no fault of his own) and seen that he had a very close fight against Kuzmin and lost via stoppage to Hunter and thought to themselves that if a smaller HW like Hunter can beat him then he can too Or maybe they just see this as a favourable stylistic match up for him and who knows they might be right Either way, he deserves credit because Bakole has been a high risk low reward avoided dangerman for years He's huge - an absolute bear of a man with very heavy hands, a very good jab, as you say, fast hands, good skills, with a nice punch arsenal and combos and when he strings them together he's extremely dangerous. He still had good hand speed against Takam when he came in way overweight at a whopping 300lbs. Weight could be a factor here though. Will he come in in the 280s, 270s, 260s or 250s because his weight does tend to fluctuate? I think he should be no more than 280.
I'm leaning Anderson by UD by using his jab and boxing though I'm not ruling out a ko , depends on what weight that whale shows up at .I'm not a Bakole fan so maybe I'm biased but if Anderson can't beat him he was never going anywhere in the division anyway.
I think it will depend on the shape Bakole is in. He was damn near 300lbs last time, that version of Bakole probably gets out pointed simply due to not being able to work enough to win enough rounds. But if Bakole is in half decent shape, I think he can win. I am not impressed by Anderson, like Yoka he doesn't know how to counter and so has to lead and his defence is porous. Whatever the outcome I expect this to be a tough fight for Anderson, he has too many holes in his game and I don't think he has the power to prevent Bakole from walking him down. Question is can Bakole fight at a decent pace for enough rounds to earn a decision.
Anderson is mentally weak. Fleeing the police and committing felonies is a sign, at least to me, that maybe Anderson's head isn't on straight enough to be great. When you throw in the fact that Anderson is constantly making comments like: “I don’t feel like I need to be an undisputed champion" and "I don't feel that I have to be a world champion,” or "I dont really like the sport of boxing" also tells me he may have overstepped this time with Bakole. The man doesn't seem to care about much, there is no fire. Anderson struggled against Charles Martin in round five and in the last few seconds of round ten where he was unsteady at best and had Martin been anything other than Martin, Anderson might have been stopped. If Jared fights a boring jab fest and comes fully prepared with his head on straight he can win but I'm not sure he will. Bakole KO7
Anderson and his team haven't done there homework for this one. Bakole has got this. Anderson is so overrated, I get why as you yanks are desperate for a half decent heavyweight but unfortunately for you lot Bakole is going to end the hype train.
