Betting odds follow the money... Doesn't matter that Bakole is way more proven and likely to win, the hype and American hopes have put money on Jared and that's enough.
And it´s kinda hard to put money on Bakole when he keeps getting fatter and fatter. He was 299lbs last time out.
True - even though he should win this, it's hard to be too confident of putting cash behind him. I'm fairly confident he'll win, but I ain't betting on it.
I rewatched some of Bakole vs Takam last night. 299lb Bakole destroys Anderson as quickly as he destroyed Takam. 299lb Bakole is terrifying. I heard Bakole has lost 2 stone so he will be about 270 something but after watching Bakole vs Takam and Bakole vs Shevadzutskyi (which Bakole came in at 280lbs for) I think 280lb is the ideal weight for Bakole. He's still has fast hands but with increased power. This content is protected
Excellent video @Rumsfeld and in a rare occasion, I agree with everything you said, and with me as well, it has nothing to do with the Charles Martin match, which I predicted he'd struggle greatly in. So if anything, that match didn't cause me to doubt him, it confirmed the doubts I've had about him since I laid eyes on him. Then when you add in his abhorrent performance against the tiny Ryad Merhy, where he seemed terrified to overcommit or even let his hands go at times, he's going to be thrice as apprehensive against a beast like Bakole. Bakole is better in every possible way, and is the more skilled of the two. If anything, he's a more refined, more experienced, heavier handed version of Anderson. Who he's going to walk down, batter senseless and stop in 5 or less. People will be shocked at how uncompetitive this will be.
You're as wrong about this as you are about Filip Hrgovic being the next David Price. In fact, I'd without hesitation pick Hrgovic to brutally KO Anderson as well.
As one of Hrgovic's bigger critics on here, even I have to say... that's ridiculous. I picked Dubois to beat him, because I saw and was greatly impressed by the newly instilled willpower and tenacity, assumed Miller and Hrgovic have similar power and that Dubois' chin is most likely better than McKean's. Although Dubois' power is clearly greater, and Hrgovic is very hittable, which would prove to be disastrous for Filip. That being said, he has an incredible chin, very few fighters would have been able to take that many bombs from Zhang and Dubois without going down and staying down. So take heart, your fellow Croatian isn't as bad or as hopeless as you think. All he has to do is get a better strength and conditioning coach, and never assume going in that he'll be able to easily KO an opponent again, which will make him focus on his actual boxing skills, which are quite decent. Sure, Zhang has an argument that he beat Filip, but Filip has just as convincing an argument that he beat Zhang, regardless, it was a one point match either way. Which means Filip has one of the better wins at Heavyweight. Focus on that positive, instead of the recent negative.
Him crying in that interview with RJJ really had me thinking he’s just not focused and needs some professional guidance for his overall mental health
If Bakole shows up in shape and not too heavy this is going to be a Long, grinding night for Anderson. Bakole will be the hardest puncher to stand in front of Anderson so he best be on his cycle. If Anderson attempts to fight him mid to close range it could easily blow up in his face and get him KTFO. This is going to be a real test for both. I think the weight in will show us where both are but this might be a real pick em but with the mental weakness of Anderson in the past the odds would not favor Anderson unless he’s had some counseling.
He is being overrated by the US media, the guy who interviewed him after his staredown v Bakole was talking about him being the next great American heavyweight champ!
