I see why they picked this guy as the next opponent, he's kind of a challenge & a step up but nothing special. Kossobutskiy not hard to hit and can look lackadaisical at times, but he had good body shots & power. This is actually good matchmaking as they look not too far apart on paper but I think Anderson is way better.

Like others mentioned, this is still a good test for his defense, chin, and body shots. Looking forward to the fight. Maybe Koss can show us something we don't know, we'll see.

Kossobutskiy had a visa issue so he can't fight. His replacement is Charles Martin.

Martin can be a decently hard hitter, but on 11 days notice something tells me he ain't gonna come in at his best. Hopefully the Kossobutskiy fight can happen at a later date.

 

This is too sad, Charles Martin has zero chance, Anderson will knock him out cold...

 

He doesn't have a "best" anyway, so all is well.

 

Martin is a good replacement and should pose a stiff test for Anderson.

Disappointing development to say the least, but oh well. Might turn out to be an alright fight. Martin isn't exactly one of the greats, but he's got a decent bit of pop and is a southpaw, and he was gonna fight a month or two back before it fell through so it's not like he's entirely unprepared to get back in the ring. Not to say I give him much of a chance of winning, because unless Anderson's chin is absolute garbage I say his chances are very small, but he's still a bit of a step up from the other fights he's had so far. Not much of one, but progress is progress I reckon.

 

At least he'll have a god on his resume. But yea Anderson KO2
