Martin had some opportunities he didn't capitalize on, especially in round 5.

Anderson looked good, but not great. Still, he might be in title contention sometime in late 2024 or early 2025?

Martin was measuring him and getting better and better timing on the left. That last shot really hurt Anderson.

People being pretty harsh on Anderson, the kid is 21, has 15 fights…he’s learning. Showed pretty good chin, ability to work the body, and his jab was pretty good. Obviously he can get better, but overall it was a good test and solid performance.

Anderson’s defense is awful and his power seems overrated, but not a bad fight for him. He got rocked but hung in there, used his jab well, and won almost every round.

Anderson will like boxing even less now. Good learning experience but the more you step up, the more you show your level.
Defense was always an issue. His power is also overrated, not close to AJ or even Luis Ortiz (now that's a fight I wanna see Anderson in).
Is he Dubois level even? Youth activity got him this win and has to fine tune next.
If Martin had slightly more output.....

First time I've seen Anderson properly and I'm not impressed. Martin knew his place tonight - give him a long fight if possible, don't knock him out.

You just can't sell Anderson to me. He looks like he started boxing 2 or 3 months ago.

Tonights fight will do a lot more good for him than blowing out an over another matched opponent.

But he's really going to need to sit down with his coach and go over a lot of the mistakes that he was making, to make any sort of improvement. He's going to need to be a lot better than tonight to fight anyone decent next fight.

Mak would KTFO Anderson with little fanfare. Not impressive tonight against a last minute replacement who was clearly not in his best shape.

Anderson had an extensive amateur career and he's 23. Still a decent performance but they should put the brakes on for now.

    "Very good veteran boxer"

Very amusing description of Martin considering what you were saying about Wilder earlier. A 42 year old Ortiz, 2 brutal KO defeats suffered, 25 months inactive, destroyed Martin in Martin's last serious fight.

Anderson not as good as I thought. Also, I already knew he wasn't a one punch KO guy, but I thought he had decent power. But Charles Martin took most of his best shots without too much trouble.

Might've been an off-night but this didn't look good.
