@Serge Had the same thought on Jalolov. He would hit Anderson with the same full power left he KTFO Torrez with.

I like Anderson because he’s in good shape and is very determined. He also showed a chin and heart and a good IQ making some adjustments.

But as we saw this year with Joyce, your defense at HW can’t be taking power shots. His chin will crack sooner than later.

He wouldn’t make it out of the 1st round with Jalolov. That’s the worst style for him.

He's 23 and Martin isn't exactly what you'd call a very good veteran. He's 37, his best win was his opponent injuring his knee in a fight he was losing which happened to land him a world title and he's not far off being knocked senseless by brittle old man Ortiz and lost to Kownacki.
He's probably the weakest heavyweight champ ever and his skills have always remained incredibly limited. Anderson not being able to utterly wipe the floor with him at this stage is not the best indication for his supposed future as a great champion.

Tonights script from espn. Mak get's by, Anderson shallacks Martin. Mak v Anderson next. Instead Mak smacks the **** outta his opponent, Anderson is exposed so no, no, no to Mak v Anderson.

You could see that Anderson’s confidence was shaken a bit tonight. Yeah, he got the win and is putting his best face on it but you can tell doubt has crept in. Not a good sign.

Credit to Martin as he walks away with his rep enhanced but he seemed to take the foot off the gas after rocking Anderson and putting it on him. Dying seconds he hurt him again so could have done with a 12 rounder. Anderson won clearly enough but was definitely shaken and not sure he has the power at top level. Might have to step down a bit for his next couple of fights.

Excellent assessment. This fight doesn't bode well for Anderson's future as a HW.

50 year old Luis Ortiz got Martin out of there...Anderson has some work to do.

On a side note, look like Lou Dibella sold Bakhodir Jalolov to the highest bidder...sigh

Anderson should adopt a more defensive guard style such as the cross arm like Tim Witherspoon or Ken Norton. His feet aren’t quick and he doesn’t move his head enough to get away from punches.

His skills don't fit the hype and these commentators and media people need to stop that bs, because it hurts young fighters. He don't need to be told every waking minute that he is the best thing since sliced bread when it's not true. He has a lot of work to do. He didn't win that fight by that big a margin and I hope he knows that.
