Jared Dovan Anderson vs. Charles Lee Martin & Arslanbek Makhmudov vs. Raphael Akpejiori RBR.

Can Jared actually fix his defense. I think what he has now is pretty much ingrained in him and doesn't move his head, and he's been fighting for a long time. It's been like that for years. You can get away with it but when you step up in the top 25, and especially some of the taller fighters that can put punches together you will be in trouble. He's young enough to improve but he wants to get out at 27.
Also there are many great prospects like him that he has to deal with. Put him in with Ajagba, Sanchez, Makhmudov, Jalalov. I don't know he even gets through these type fighters. His mentality will be tested in the next 12 months or so.

All of a sudden he's not Timmy sure fire, best prospect. That's what happens when you put him at the top without him being tested by proper prospects or skilled vets. They gotta keep stepping him up, no going back now. ESPN talking about him competing with the top fighters, lol. A lot of work to do. I boxing was easy, everyone would be champ.

 

Why are they harping about his height? He’s a jacked athletic 6’4”

I’m surprised they mentioned Jalolov. That’s the guy you keep Anderson away from at all costs.

 

Anderson's power is not nearly as good as AJ or old Luis Ortiz.

I really wish these promoters would take their foot off the gass on the hype. Anderson, like Dubois was/is a good prospect. But they need(ed) to have them fighting with regularity through the levels and not rush them up the rankings trying to create the next Mike Tyson.

 

I was looking yesterday Torrez beat him in the amateurs and for me looks a much better prospect. Anderson telegraph's everything.
