Idk, if Saunders abandons his game plan and somehow feels the need to fight in the trenches with Hurd it could easily end up being a disaster for him, no matter how skilled or evassive he is. Its going to be hard for any slick boxer to keep their distance and range against a guy like Hurd. Like you said earlier, he's a true freak.

I don't see it, what did you have Hurd winning by? A knockdown? Lara should've taken it tonight. Most of the MW's are a completely different animal including Derevyanchenko, you know how I feel about the division, I'd be saying the same thing about Lara moving up as well. Jermall, Andrade and Hurd will falter badly.

He didn't abandon it against Lemieux, and he won't abandon it against Hurd, he's a safety first as they come. He's a freak for LMW, but at MW, he'll look huan. Saunders is close to 6 foot himself, he made Lemieux look tiny, CEJ is the same height as Hurd, he won't look all that scary when he isn't sharing the ring with tiny 5'9 Light Middle's.

I had him by a Kd, but he was imposing his size and strength on Lara which I knew he would, but Lara fought the wrong game plan, PERIOD. I think once anybody gets hit and starts getting walked down by Hurd, they may resort to the same thing and that plays into Hurds favor.

I THINK Jermall, Hurd and Andrade will pose real sturdy test to any 160 pounder in the world and that includes Canelo and GGG.

He abandoned his game plan against lee and against Eubanks, because he felt he needed to prove something. I think he might do the same against an undefeated American like Hurd who's massive even as a 160 pounder. Its definitely not out of the question. Hurd is a fearless guy who will walk through fire to get the job done, and that's sometimes all it takes.

Nah, he just gassed out, he was still being hyper defensive, just not throwing much. He figured he had it sealed up on the cards, and took zero risks and made it a point to see the final bell. He stamina was the probably not his machismo, and now he has that under control. And when guys try to walk through Saunders they get KO'd, tat's why so few attempt it.

    He made 154.
He made the IBF weigh in the next day.

This IS his division until he says otherwise

I don't think he has it under control if he's constantly talked about as being a 'Lazy' fighter. I think he'll have no choice but to mix it up against a guy like hurd and if he does its fair game! Also I think hurds proved his chin is solid, which is why he fights the way he does. Now if he beats a guy like Charlie before entering the 160 pound division would you at least give him a little bit of credit?

Jr and Billy Joe are both 5ft11, Lara has a longer reach than both. Hurd is 6ft1 77" reach

Lara is heavy handed similar to Saunders probably just a tad less pop and he didn't stop Hurd in his tracks.

I'd say Hurd would be stronger not having to cut the extra weight too

Until recently, he's done nothing but talk about how Ingle whipped his ass into shape, he said he was a disgrace in the Akavov fight, but that he loves in love with the sport again, and has fully dedicated himself to it, and its showed.

And wrong, he has "no problem" making weight. He'll be the same guy he was in there tonight.

Lemueuiex was a fringe contender and a one hit wonder, nothing more, nothing less. Hurd imo is on a different level than Lemieux and you know what saying I like to say.... "All fights are different" and along with that, Hurd has the will to be great. Lara is a tremendous win and he's proven to be a legitimate threat to anybody from 154-160.

A KD, that's how close it was. 1 piddly little KD from it being a D. Saunders is better than Lara, Hurd will need a hell of a lot more to beat Saunders.

A win is a win, but Hurd proved he belonged. Lara is a highly regarded fighter in the world and on these boards. There's a reason why I thought he's be competive against GGG and he proved his merit once again tonite. But he foughtbout of his element and that's what cost him the victory tonite. And that's what Makes Hurd such a dangerous opponent imo. He just keeps coming and imposing his will on you.
