And IMO he won't be able to do that against bigger punchers who are around his size. We're just going to have to agree to disagree here.

Saunders isn't really a bigger puncher than Hurd, so I like his chances there. GGG, Jermall, and Derevchenko are diffetent stories. But no way in he'll will Hurd be an easy fight for them at all.

The fight i saw last night those 2 belong in different weight classes. Hurd is not the best Boxer in the division, he wasnt the better Boxer last night, but he is massive.

I hate the current practice of day before weigh ins as much as it sounds you do.

That said, let’s pretend you are personally or financially invested in Hurd’s career as a family member, team member, promoter or manager. Would you advise him to forego his ability to legally make 154 where he enjoys physical advantages over nearly every other 154 pounder who has ever fought at the weight save for a few notable exceptions, Hearns, Guillermo Jones, and PWill?

If I’m close to Hurd and he considers me someone worth listening to, I advise him to go straight to a unification with Charlo for his first 7 figure payday. After he has all the belts, he goes to the U.K. to give Kell a chance (none really) and then he goes home with an even bigger payday and calls it a career. He could give Khan a chance too (again none really) for another nice payday. At this point he’ll be 25 and 0, under 30 years old and hopefully well invested to enjoy the spoils of his hard earned dough.

Hurd seems like a nice guy, from a nice family and deserves everything he has achieved. I’m pulling for him to make his money at JMW and leave this cruel sport with an unblemished record and his full faculties.

Hurd isn't a bigger puncher than Angulo or Lara or Eubank or Lee or Lemieux, BJS will be fine. The man is a featherfist he lacks one punch power, he's relies on his size advantage to beat up tiny men. That is all.

If he were my son, I'd browbeat and shame him into fighting someone his own size and call him a p**** if he didn't. Because I'd rather him say he tried and lost to someone his own size, than be regarded as a behemoth schoolyard bully.

Do you have kids? I don’t believe you...sorry.

Again, until he pulls a Cancelo or Luis Resto and breaks the rules, he deserves everything he achieves. Look everyone else is cutting weight too. It just so happens that he has legs of a JWW, the waist of a small WW and the upper torso of a SMW/LHW. Not his fault, just his gifts for haters to curse.

Don’t worry, if he falls victim to the cruel system of the sport and listens to the leeches and parasites that give 2 5H!+s about his long term well-being, he’ll eventually start struggling to make weight and have to move up to where his face first style will end up face down and beltless.

Hopefully that won’t happen to him as he seems like a good dude, of which there are not really too many in this cruel sport...unless you like guys like Gervonta and Broner.

Thankfully I don't, but if I did, yes I would. I'm a very harsh person, and exacting with myself and others, I rarely take quarter on anyone, including family and friends, don't come to me asking advice if you want to hear a bunch of bull****, I'm straightforward and uncompromising with even those closest to me, if I were a pro boxer, I'd be willing to push myself as far as humanly possible to prove to myself how good I really am, and I'd expect nothing less of any one else.

He's preferably personally to Davis and Broner, but that doesn't mean I like his style any more. I still say he has bully tendencies.

Those guys besides the last 3 don't even matter.Hurd has 7 fights that went the distance, so id say he's fully capable of pulling a stoppage victory against Saunders. Saunders is a bit older and Hurd is just entering his prime. Is love to see that fight someday

If he's fighting below his "real division" then doesn't that make him drained and disadvantaged? Double standards.

A lot of boxers wouldn't be nearly as successful if they had to stick strickly to the weight limits.

Until the rules change, it will be what it will be. Hurd is using this to his own advantage like many others do or have done.

    Typical posters on here.

We get a great fight with 2 fighters giving everything they had and you have to find a reason to hate!

I salute both men, when boxing gets it right there isnt a sport that can touch it.
