Boots is good, and he'll hold a title or two for a while. I don't know that he is someone the general public will ever know about though.

    I hope so, go America.

Boots main problem is activity. There's a visible difference between him being extremely active and him being on the shelf. He's like James Toney in the manner that the more active he is the better he is. They better not ever let him go a year without a fight again. He's needs to stay active.

Would be a very good fight as both guys come to hurt their opponents, very athletic and skilled.

It’s at least promising that he can fill a big venue like that. Unfortunately, boxing is nowhere near It’s old popularity in the US. A fighter like boots and the style that he fights with is great for casual fans

I’ve wanted to see it for a while or a fight with Spence before Spence lost to Crawford

Boots is huge at the weight and he looks really good. So he moves up to 154 next and fights a Charlo or how about Vergel Ortiz? In the meantime if Crawford is able to get past Madrimov he moves up to 168 if he can get Canelo or 160 if not and goes for a belt. Assuming he secures it, Boots maybe retires Bud (or not) at 160 if he is not interrupted by Vergel. If Bud manages to get and beat Canelo, Boots goes to 168 (again if he's not interrupted with a loss) and retires Bud, or not.

Yep the Spence ball bag swingers have now swung to Ennis’s sack but he would get the same treatment Spence got.

The angles were created by dipping his body and twisting upper body rather than using his feet, he was caught by shots that he shouldn’t be getting hit with, Crawford would pick him apart. I didn’t rate his power as high as others do, if he manages his career right then he’s not fighting bud anytime soon.
I like him a lot but he’s not a patch on Crawford, he’s flashy in moments when he should be composed.
He is a clear talent and he will have a great career but those who compare him to Crawford are missing the details that set Crawford apart from everyone else in this era.
He’s going to need a few more fights before he faces bud, but I will be following his career and supporting him.

Exactly! Crawf-Canelo is only of novelty interest and denies 2 exciting fighters in Ennis and Benevidez their opportunities to fight the best.....and we want to see Ennis n Bene step up

No doubt about it, there aren't many people that can fill an NBA stadium. I am pulling for him to succeed in a big way. I hope he doesn't follow the safety first career path that our countryman have been taking. Dude is a huge WW, I think he'll make his name at 160 in his early 30's.

That won't work against Crawford or Vergil Ortiz should Boots move up to 154.

Canelo-Crawford is pointless. They have real challenges in or around their own weight classes that they need to make happen. I don't want to see it.

If we can't get crawford then a Boots V Spence match up would be interesting. If he beats Spence decisively then the hype for crawford V boots would be huge.

Spence wouldn't have lasted as long as Avanesyan did and you can't take that to the bank, deposit it, and then withdraw it and treat yourself to a brand new suit. :deal:
