    Nicholson could've scored a rare stoppage tonight but she is just happy to potshot and throw singles all night and take minimal risks which hardly makes for riveting viewing. Vargas had zero defence and even less skills

    Skye has some finesse about her. I don’t mind her style but I can only take a few rounds until I want to see a bit of variety in her punching or some sort of urgency.

    When each round is a carbon copy of the one that precedes it’s not the best way to earn new fans.

    Stoppages are a rarity in the woman’s game and Skye ain’t that one. But putting your overmatched opponent to the sword a bit more to get the crowd involved can be the next best thing, rather than keeping in that amateur mindset of point scoring and risk aversion.
