I lean Boots atm, but not by much. This would likely be a great great fight. Don't marinate it. Do it now.
Ennis by decision Ortiz is getting overrated after 2 nice wins The Bohachuck fight was super close With that said Ennis turned down fights with Ortiz and Crawford
Ya https://3kingsboxing.com/team-ennis-loyalty-showtime-rejects-blk/ This content is protected Boots was offered a fight w Bud in December, 2022, which was immediately prior to the Spence fight. At that time Boots was angling for any big name he could get and still hadnt been champion yet. The hold-up, apparently, was that Boots wouldve had to fight on BLK Prime because Bozy said they were loyal to Showtime and, in the same breath, admitted there was no binding contract. Obviously it looks worse when looked back on because Showtime boxing folded and now, three years later, Boots still hasnt had 1 top opponent. I do not think Boots himself ducked the fight but his handlers played it careful which is what nearly all handlers do. When this topic comes up though I do feel compelled to point out that Boots (or his team) didnt want Crawford in 2022 and that Boots (or his team) didnt want Vergil Ortiz this past February. Although I'd favor Boots to beat Norman Jr, that fight also didnt materialize reportedly over $500k. Even Boots biggest fans can acknowledge there have been some misses. Beating Bud on BLK Prime then being able to unify/beat Spence in 2022/2023 wouldve catapulted him to superstardom, but obviously that did not happen. Fighting and beating Vergil this past February wouldve put Boots on the map, but a much lesser opponent was selected. Boots can fight and I want to see him versus the top guys, but he needs to take control of his career because damn he being moved slow
I'm a of Ennis and I think he would reign as welterweight champion for a long time if he chooses to stay there but I do understand why him and his team would be hesitant to move up to 154 He gets clipped a lot with big punches and at 154 that might be problematic
I'm not suggesting that Virgil will win, but the man battled it out with Bohachuk for 12 grueling rounds. If he was able to keep pace with Bohachuk, he'll be able to do the same with Boots....
