Jarrel miller great fighter big heavy physically strong speed his size great pressure good cardio his size only thing hè lacks is ko power in my opinion hè throws alot of arm pitty pat punches but even if hè throws his weight behind it or pull his hand back and swings wide it isn’t generating brute power and with his size you expect more what the cause of this?

Doesn’t hè sit down on punches?
    Incorrect technique ?
    Lack of speed ?
    Lack of snap?
    Lack of coordination ?

I think it has something to do with his kickboxing background different stance not good balance for power punching because of this i dont know exactly but that is what i think has to do with it

Or does hè have good punching power but didn’t hè show it because of tough opossition (wach and duhaupas good chin) let me know your opinion

Relative to his size he has little power. However, anybody as big as him will have a bit of a punch. He doesn't have that twist and snap that the really hard bangers have.

On the pads he is the most sloppy thing in existence. I could do padwork better than he could, I swear, and I'm useless at everything. That technique as you mention is awful.

He'll be exposed against someone who can move. And I even count AJ in that. AJ's movement isn't unbelievable but it's good enough to sprint around Miller. He's good against slow opponents. I'm sure he'd give Povetkin a hard time, and possibly beat the likes of Pulev and Breazeale (Especially breazeale), albeit not by much. Anyone with any decent movement, however, exposes him bad.

And I think Miller knows he has flaws, and tries to make up for it with a huge weight in order to bully people around the ring. Fury, Wilder and AJ beat him all day every day.

Imo it's a combination of all those things.

He seems to punch AT instead of through targets.

    >inb4 oversimplified.

His technique is awful. He pushes his punches and swings his uppercuts. His technique is even worse than Parker, who has some of the worst punching fundamentals I've ever seen.

Miller is also almost always off balance. If his foot placement was better he also wouldn't get hit as easily.

If Miller turned his back foot and rotated his body into his punches he would've easily ended Duhaupas with all of the flush shots he was landing. Unless he corrects these mistakes he'll be no threat to Joshua, Wilder, or even Whyte.

Tyson Fury has worse punching fundamentals than both of them.

Miller's problem is his excessive weight affects his balance. He has fat arms, fat upper body and on the rare occasion he throws his body into punches he ends up "falling" forward with the punch. So he has to rely on arm punching to stay upright. He's just too fat to execute basic mechanics of a true power punch.

Was thinking exactly the same, he is too big and slow to even use proper punching mechanics, he would be more
    powerful with less weight.

He seems too big that it hinders his balance and range of motion. You can see technically a hitch or two when he throws that loses power before he lands it. Its like an engine in a car. Its rated horsepower is at the crank but that's not what it puts to the ground. Generally a vehicle loses 15-20% of its power going from the crank through the transmission and to the wheels.

He mostly throws arm punches and doesn't punch through the target. Occasionally he loads up with a hook and puts some body weight behind it but even then his technique means he doesn't get any drive from his legs, it's all upper body.

His footwork is very poor with a very narrow stance. He doesn't create a solid base from where he can generate power and even if he did his excessive weight means he'd struggled to stay low enough often enough without fatiguing very quickly.

    That's not true.

Fury's just trying to land scoring punches, not hurtful ones.

He isn't interested in generating power.

One thing Miller defo has in his locker is a solid chin. I don't see Joshua or Wilder even dropping him.

They will just jab and walk around him for 12 rounds.

Miller is literally the perfect opposition for Fury.
