I agree with the gist of the thread btw. Example - about 15 years ago there was a lad my age in the gym who was roided to the eyeballs. He split the lining of his stomach one day attempting a silly lift and nearly died owed to internal bleeding. He was out of action and off the roids for 3 months and disintegrated before our very eyes. This was a guy benching 160kg at his roided peak and when he came back to the gym he could barely pump 40kg. I imagine BBM was terrified of something like this happening. Imagine walking into fight AJ (a guy who will kick your ass anyway) at 20% strength and capacity. It'd be a joke and a discredit to the sport
Exactly. Even listening to a lot of what he's been saying regarding fighting Joshua over the last year or two : "He aint big, he's just tall and kinda skinny" ..... "He don't bench no 400 pounds, I bench 400 pounds" .... "He got no chest development" ..... etc. etc. His whole confidence and 'legitimacy' rests on him being bigger and stronger than the rest. Unusually ('impossibly') stocky for a 6'4 boxer. Being a bulky 315 pounds and very strong in the weight room is his main and significant 'advantage'. He really has no idea what he'd do without being juiced right up to near-maximum levels. It is unthinkable. When he saw that the boxing world accepted him as a 'contender' and he could get away with heavily taking the drugs through his career, the ball was in motion and he was put into the title picture, got himself a good deal with DAZN and landed the Joshua fight ...... and that's when his life got complicated, I guess .... LOL
Absolutely correct. It's clear now that Miller is of that type, and has probably seen it happen to people he's known over the years too. He decided to run the risk of being busted for the PEDs rather than let the world - (and, more importantly, himself) - from seeing what a "clean" Jarrell Miller would be.
Baring in mind the vast majority of competitive lifters I've ever met are actively juicing then it's no surprise he was exposed to this kind of world.
HGH would have to be used in very high dosages to really mimic steroids, Epo is a stamina enhancer as well but these combinations aren't really more powerful then an actual steroid design for strength enhances which are more dangerous because you are taking punches. Tommy Morrison, Holyfield were on some serious body changing stuff that didn't take years it took practically over night. and the even guys admitting taking horse steroids like Duran. FAR more fighters have taking more dangerous drugs than PEDS improving stamina and HGH which actually isn't a real steroid . The stuff Fury was on or found was a steroid I believe and Povetkin was taking a strength and stamina steroid like effect as well .
Wouldn't surprise me - with big fat baby off the peds. And Dave is a really sound bloke and shows lots of respect to his opponents (I've really liked the build up to the Browne fight). He's not a lying cheating idiot like big fat baby
So dont blame miller for being a lazy fat slob, who cant be bothered to train like an elite fighter and get in impeccable shape and gets a chance to fight for 6million dollars, because he'd rather take PEDs.
