Jarrell Miller pulls out of the Pulev fight

Have to agree with you. I started out being a bit of a supporter of Pulev but now I'm just sick of him. He will be an interesting fight when/if he does fight someone top 5/10. But he's done nothing in recent years to justify calling shots and being a heavy A side.

 

Definitely. Doubt it happens though. Pulev is too old to fight contenders outside Bulgaria and win. Hes feather fisted and doesnt have the legs/heart for todays younger contenders. If Whyte and Miller have pulled out, youd have to be as high as a kite to think H.Fury will go. Pulev will fight Teper most likely. Makes the most sense for both of them.

 

Not sure what Miller is afraid of... Pulev is a good fighter on merit but in reality, at this point, I view him as unspectacular.

 

That doesn't change the fact that Miller sucks, and is clearly afraid to face Pulev.

 

Pulev is as shot as a duck in hunting season and BaBy is still afraid to face him. SMH.

 

Did you just compare a fight for a 15 mill purse in front on 100K fans in perhaps the biggest fight in boxing right now to a fight that makes Miller maybe 400K in front of 12K fans in Bulgaria?

 

Hope this is true. He was willing to go to NZ to fight Parker too and we saw what happened there. But this is a winnable fight for Hughie if he can get a fair shake on the scorecards this would secure him a lucrative mandatory shot at Joshua so might be worth the risk if he can ensure he has some input in the selection of the referee and judges.

 

Oh so when when it comes to splits everyone has a issue when Joshua v Wilder gets brought up. Are you saying 15 million and is fair for such a large fight?! Cause I mean comparatively it was 40million to Manny and was the biggest offer he was made?! I mean if Manny deserved a percent split and Parker got a percentage split why doesn’t Wilder get one. I just want to confirm we as fans are okay with fighters, who ranked high enough not fighting each other because they can’t stack the deck in there favor or have the favorable purslit even though both teams had a chance to control who got what and where the fight happens.

 

My stance on Joshua/Wilder has always been that he should get a split and not a flat fee. That has not changed.

But I don't see the comparison you've drawn between Joshua/Wilder and Miller/Pulev. They are very different scenarios.

Yes both are turning down their biggest payday. But Wilder will never earn 15 mill from any other fight other than AJ. Miller in comparison can very likely make more than a few hundred K at some point in his career. He'll likely get a title shot at some point if he keeps winning and even if that's against Wilder that will be more than this Pulev fight brings.
