According to an ESPN.com report Tuesday night, Miller will face France’s Johann Duhaupas in a heavyweight fight HBO will televise April 28 from Barclays Center in Brooklyn. The main event of HBO’s doubleheader that night will pit middleweight contender Daniel Jacobs against Maciej Sulecki.

WTF happened to Pulev vs. Miller? This is BS!!! Duhaupas blows!

Ugh, this won't teach us anything we don't already know about Miller. It also means Pulev is back to fingering his butthole on the sidelines. Goddamn this stupid division.

Ok fight for a contender like Big Baby
It will be interesting to see if he does better than Wilder

I mean, yeah, it would be okay, if this weren't happening instead of the mooted IBF eliminator versus Pulev. After that, Duhaupas is kind of a letdown.

Pulev fight would've been great. But I guess the Bulgarian wants more money than the Frenchman and rightfully so.

Cant we compare this fight to Deontay's ?
Ok, Duhaupas was KTFO by Povetkin but still

I don't rate it (a win over Duhaupas) too highly on Wilder's resume either tbh. I mean, higher than shot Liakhovich, or Molina, or maybe even fat washed-up never-was Arreola ...but lower than Stiverne, and Szpilka, and Washington.

I never got the hype for the Frenchman. He lost in his prime clearly to Pianeta, and to Erkan Teper (both guys I'm not high on) and fought on even terms with a fat undisciplined Charr.

I'm not sold that Miller even wins, though that's probably based more off of me not seriously rating Miller as anything else. Fighters who come in at sloppy weights routinely eventually pay the price for it.

But duuuuude, you gotta watch your back around here after making that claim about Duhaupas, IB.

Johann Duhaupas is The Slayer of Darling ESB Princes. He is Helenius' straight up daddy and Charr's, well, like, homebody uncle or something.

Was Duhaupas hyped here ? Cuz I missed it. Must've been MVC lol

Anyway you are correct Duhaupas fight isnt great but if Deontay doesnt want to fight Whyte maybe Eddie got another surprise for the Bronze Bomber.

Wilder vs Big Baby would be a good fight with a fun build up

I hear you. I was mostly looking forward to him fighting Pulev to see him get slapped around so all the silly geese losing their marbles over a "legit US heavyweight prospect" could all simultaneously undergo a rude awakening that no, this clown isn't the long-awaited heir to Iron Mike & the Real Deal.

His ceiling is the same as Bryant Jennings/Charles Martin's if he's lucky.

You'd be surprised, he was allegedly some kind of "top dog" on the Euro scene who "could give any world class heavy a stern test" and on his best day would beat everyone but the champs.

I know what you mean. Damn shame Pulev used some of his Wlad money to become a transfer student in the Winky Wright School of Boxing Business's doctorate program.

Hey I'm just as happy as the next guy about the 1 vs. 3, 4 vs. 5, and 2 vs. 136th ranked HW's we have facing off in the next couple months but I do like to point out what is opposite the trend these days that HW still is a terrible division.

Well, he definitely attended the Ronald Lamont Wright College of Perfecting the Jab, with a double major in Landing A Smoke-Show Wife, so why not stick with the curriculum?
