Jarrell Miller vs prime Joe Louis

I quite like Jarrell Miller. Despite his trash talk he's quite amusing and has a certain charm.

Hence I'd hate to see this fight. Louis would give him a prolonged and sustained beating. Louis trumps Miller in every department bar BMI.

 

Any judgment of Miller has to wait until he is tested for a title fight. He is a known PEDS user who now refuses to be tested.

That being said, the Bomber whacks him out with sweet combos.

 

A big slow guy with a leaky defence against a consensus ATG with blistering combination punching. Hmmmmmmmmmm.

Imma go ahead and put everything on the big slow guy ...

 

I'd also say that we need to see Miller vs some better competition before we start judging him at a high level. For now it's Louis all the way.

 

Oh it could be a fun fight, sure. But Miller's going to take about 3 for every one he lands and it won' be fun for him for too long.

 

qwhich ever round JL wants to carry him to is the one it ends in.

 

Louis is gunna hit him ,hit him again and keep hitting him till he falls down ,Miller doesn't stand a chance .

 

Maybe wrestling, but he's absolutely no real threat to prime J.Louis in a boxing ring.

 

He might fall on Louis, constricting his airways and causing asphyxiation.

 

The 100 lbs weight advantage doesn't translate to skills unfortunately. I should also point out that Valuev had a 99 lbs weight advantage over David Haye and Haye beat him all the same.

Louis with his text book punching accuracy, KO power and hand speed wouldn't just beat him; he'd beat him up!

 

Valeuv didn't use his weight to his advantage like Miller does. Valeuv just stood there and boxed like he was a regular upright 250pounder . Haye never felt the 100lb weight gap he was up against , but with the pace and pressure Miller sets , his opponents feel every ounce of it!

 

I think the underlying point I was trying to make was that the weight disparity isn't going to give Miller the skillset and defense needed to beat a guy like Joe Louis given the Brown Bomber's attribute and skill set.

Joe Louis would probably be fighting at cruiserweight today, how many cruisers today would you pick to beat Miller?
