Arum would never make this fight Ruiz is his protected golden goose. What's Tony Thompson up to? Ruiz-Thompson on Cinco de Mayo or some old ranked boxer is way more likely

Thompsons knee is gone, he has retired. Makes him a suitable opponent for Wilder though ..

Are you sure there's a ring that can handle their combined weight?

And people are surprised as to why there is no 'HW hype' in the US.....

    Awful standard.

Interesting fight, two fatties throwing pitty patty punches at eachother for 12 rounds.. Unless someone gets lucky in the first 2..

Ruiz'z pitty patty is a bit quicker than Millers so I'd expect him to waddle to a UD..

I don't get how Povetkin is the mandatory for Joshua.

Shouldn't he be the mandatory for Charr?

What's the point of being the un-super WBA champ if it confers lesser entitlements on you than being the number 1 ranked contender?

I regard the WBA's top-tier world title belt as third-string (behind the lineal championship & WBC / IBF titles).

As for their second-tier belt, that's on par with the IBF interim title & WBC silver belt (perhaps a notch above them on account of the fact in some divisions there's no "super" champ).

if the fight does happen it will be two fat boxers waddling around pot shotting each other. At least it will have comedy value.

I do like Ruiz but he clearly doesn't have the discipline to be top level.
Miller is just a mouth. Basically the US's version of Tony Bellew - only about twice the size.
