What is your obsession with Golovkin and trying to make other people believe he's bigger than he is?

Jermell Charlo is not a big guy I've stood 6 feet away from him before and he's skinny as hell. His brother is Jamall is bigger.

Do you believe any of these guys weight claims? I certainly don't. They are all BS artists.

On the scales @ 154 he looks very thin and lean all round. Small arms, small chest and back. In the ring he is not small at all. The difference is immense. This suggests he puts on a hell if a lot of weight. Same thing happens to GGG, he looks like a holocaust victim on the scale and like a white Anthony Yarde in the ring.

I only believe them when it's reasonable. However I can believe that Hurd was 175 lb in the ring on the weekend, that sounds reasonable to me. 20 lb is a lot to put on in 24 hours, and another 11 in 13 hours or so is equally hard.

I have never in life have heard of the phase "weight bully". Get the f out of here.

Hurd makes weight. Thats all that matters.
Fair and square. You got a problem with it. Don't choose boxing.

If they're making the weight at the right times I honestly don't mind, to be able to boil down that much (legally) is a skill in itself. And if they're killing themselves to do it it's only going to cut the years off their careers...

You are either blind or just trying to hate on Golovkin.

Just look at the two fight night, Jacobs had at least 10 lbs. on him. Not that it's an excuse, but don't state BS here.

What Hurd said didn't support him coming in at 175 though.

He said he was 175 before he even tried getting into fighting shape. He said he was 170 at the START of training camp. He then said he didn't like to cut more than 10lb, insinuating he was around 164 in the ring.

People dont realize or just ignore that being skinny lowers your weight. That seems so damn obvious to me, but apparently to these idiots if you are tall then you must be huge.

I'm so skinny that a strong gust of wind will knock me down. I stand 5'11" 156 pounds. My body type is almost identical to Chris Algieri and DLH. People refuse to believe that I'm only 156 pounds. So I can believe Hurd only being 163.

I keep harping on about this and probably boring everyone, but I am constantly mystified by boxing fans talking about the "size" of a fighter with no reference at all to what the fighter actually weighs.

It's somewhat understandable if the fighter is fat or excessively bulked up or has shown an ability to fight at lower weights, but this often isn't the case.

This is a sport with weight divisions ffs, not height divisions or "how big other people think you look" divisions.

When you are that tall and look malnourished and skinny as **** weighing in @ 153lbs, then fast forward 30 hours and you are still tall but suddenly have amazingly attained huge amounts of mass and no longer look skinny at all but actually look like a hulk, isn't that evidence enough? We don't need to see the scales, the size difference from the weigh in to the ring is enough

When Lara and Hurd both weigh 153, Lara is noticeably more muscular looking and has a huge thickness advantage

Fast forward 30 hours and Hurd looks more muscular than Lara and thicker and you don't think he weighs a hell of a lot more?

Tall guys carry weight much better than short guys.

A bloke 6ft1 like Hurd can put on 10lbs and it won't even be noticeable. If you see the difference then there is obviously a huge shift in weight.

Canelo is a short choade, put 10 lbs on his tiny 5ft7 frame and he becomes the hulk, it's obvious to me Canelo is not that big in comparison to Hurd.

Facts Canelo is not a big 160lber, Hurd would be amongst the largest when he moves up

Now that would be a shocker if he lost all that height! :eeek:
