Have you ever seen a bigger 154lber?
Makes Canelo look like a lightweight!!
Actually Canelo wasn't that big @ 154 at all.

Yeah but he's not that great a boxer. Austin Trout's going to school him.

Trout might teach him a thing or two and I think it's a great learning fight but there will be only one winner and that's Jarrett.

Tbh I think Hurd is a very good boxer and he is developing quickly.

He has a great jab and huge size and can throw every punch in the book. Great stamina and excellent chin, as well as fan friendly style. He can fight on the inside as well as he can on the outside, I liken him to a 154 Big Daddy Bowe. Hurd hurts blokes every time he lands, even with the Jab, he has a natural power.

His biggest weakness appears to be his speed, both hand and feet. He is quite lumbering compared to the other top fighters in the division, makes him easier to read so his punches can be less devastating, it's the punches that you don't see that get the 1 punch ko's. He struggled to cut down the ring against Harrison but as the fight developed his supreme conditioning meant he started tracking him down and beating him up.

Trout is a veteran who has a lot of tricks in his bag but he's much smaller and a lot less athletic in comparison to Harrison. Trout will be easier to find and I see Hurd breaking him down. Would not be surprised if he's the 1st bloke to stop Trout, although Trout is a tough guy with good defence.

Guillermo Jones was even bigger at 154.

Trout is going to embarrass this one trick hypejob, if Jermall who's far more versatile can't definitively beat Trout, Hurd ain't.:deal:

Look Jones had no muscle tone @ 154 he was a bean pole with moobs, like a Willie Nelson with moobs

Find a pic when he's 16 years old, if the head is significantly smaller, Dude is on PED!

Hurd isn't a hypejob, practically nobody is talking him up.
Jermall would get wiped out if he tried to fight Hurd toe to toe

Hurd might look average against runners but guys that stay in the pocket he will eat for breakfast.

Trout I expect to make it an ugly fight, but it will be a good learning fight so he can take on Lara or Jermell next.

Jesus Christ, Harrison isn't all that big a puncher and he was occasionally rocking Hurd with his jab, Jermall would make his ass go nite nite when he attempts one of his featherfisted flurries.

Jo Jo Dan was at times trying to walk Hurd down, and lasted 6 rounds with this JMW mammoth, and he lasted 4 against Brook, who's power is decent but not devastating, and he had to virtually pound on Molina for 10 rounds to get a stoppage, face it, Hurd has fast feather dusters for fists.

JoJo Dan was just target practice lol, Hurd actually walked to the ropes and asked him to walk him down.
Think Hurd was just playing with his food in that one, maybe he wanted to try a few things that night.

Molina and Harrison fights just proved his versatility, he can walk blokes down (Harrison) or box them on the backfoot (Molina)

I haven't seen a bloke yet that he hasn't hurt to their core with a jab.

I would pay $100 to watch Hurd batter lil Kell Brook, Brook might want to consider staying @ 147, if he thinks he's a legit 154lber he might want to think again.

Hurd is underrated by some, good pressure, body punching etc. I think he has too much for Trout at this stage.

Guillermo Jones was the biggest Welter of all time

As a Welterweight he was a world ranked 15-0-0-0 (KO 13) highly touted undefeated prospect

His ATG aspirations got flushed, after making the poor decision of moving up to 154 where he caught his first two losses.

At Welterweight he was unbeatable on range alone, 6'4" with a 76" wingspan, very few Welters can deal with that range advantage

At 154 he was a blown-up natural Welterweight, so obviously no muscle tone
