He just announced it on his Instagram account. I have never heard of this guy. I just checked boxrec, losses to Macklin and Gavin are the only names of note on his resume. Is he any good?
It should be a straight walkover for Jarrett Hurd, but I expect him to be very show patience and effectively 'carry' Welborn for a few rounds. Why? Hurd had shoulder surgery only 4 months ago and I guess even with the very early comeback fight, he'll want to test it out slowly. Welborn is not world class level at all, but he is a decent enough fighter to face after major shoulder surgery. Jarrett Hurd, I really like this guy and is cool AF, got a good style and personality too.
