Who wins this potential future fight ? Errol Spence south paw has more skills decent power 5'9 72 inch reach best wins are Mikey Garcia ,Kell Brook ,Lamont Peterson 25 fights 21 KOs .... Jarrett Hurd 6'1 76 1/2 inch reach best wins are. Erislandy Lara ,Austin Trout ,Tony Harrison . The way I see it Spence is more slick and has more skills in the box . However Hurd has defeated 3 opponents that were more skilled than him as well . 2/3 were southpaws. Spence advantage in skills and footwork, speed , accuracy better jab however hes only gone 12 rounds once (last night looked tired ) Hurd great pressure fighter imposes will on you physically strong great volume puncher and has a great engine to go 12 rounds ....who wins this match up
Hurd gets hit a lot but can take a lot, too. I'm not sure on this one. If I had to put money on it, though, I would probably go with Spence. But giving up that much in reach is a big disadvantage. Better yet, I think I would just keep my money in my wallet on this one.
This would be a good fight for Spence to take he might be able to stop Hurd late whose defense is not that great.
Hurd is too big, too strong and too relentless Fair play to Spence, he's a p4p superstar but we have weight divisions for a reason. Hurd probably has better hand speed than Mikey, and Mikey hit Spence plenty. Hurd lands on Spence and its a different kind of power.
I watched the fight, Mikey landed plenty of eye catching heavy shots. Spence didn't seem fazed by any of it though tbf, but Mikey is a smaller guy.
Each to their own, but I’ve never understood that thought process when it comes to p4p status. I mean, Spence lives at 147. For me he needs to own the welterweight division, or prove himself at several weight classes before he becomes a p4p superstar.
