Stop overselling the Martinez vs. James match, Vaughn Alexander had James out on his feet on multiple occasions. Lester should rip through him like chili through an IBS sufferer.

    Round 1 Valdez 10-9, close

Thought Valdez landed the better shots to the body, most of Michael's work was pretty ineffective.

Whenever I see guys with super flashy trunks, I immediately assume they are compensating for a lack of chin

    Round 1 Valdez 10-9, close
    Round 2 Valdez 10-9

Both have pretty tight high guards, Valdez going to the body pretty consistently, and occasionally tagging him with fast counter hooks and rights up top. Michael tamed him in the second half, but too late.

Why would a guy who fights nothing like Rigondeaux, choose ratings poison Rigondeaux for a nickname?

    Round 1 Valdez 10-9, close
    Round 2 Valdez 10-9
    Round 3 Valdez 10-9

Michael jabbing a lot and throwing one twos, none of it islanding, meanwhile Valdez is getting in close and going to the body, and about half of it is landing.

    Round 4 Angeletti 10-9, close

Damned close, output higher from Michael, still pretty inaccurate. He probably nicked it though.

    Round 5 Valdez 10-9, close

Another round that's hard to split, Michael controlling range better, but still landing little, Valdez not as active, but ptworked him by a hair

    Round 2 Valdez 10-9
    Round 3 Valdez 10-9

    Round 5 Valdez 10-9, close
    Round 6 Valdez 10-9

High guards from both men are still tight, but Valdez even though much of this isn't landing clean, he's still outworking him by a mile. But Michael almost steals it late.

For the record, ignore my scorecard, even though these rounds are hard to split.... most of the judges probably have Angeletti well ahead.
