at 160 i think he will get destroyed, at 154lb if he can keep there, he will do very well. not a glittering division though might need a WSB

I tend to agree that there could be a bright future for him at 154 and possibly even at 160, that is so long as he is managed well and also remains dedicated to training and developing his skillset. My only criticism with Hurd at this time is that I think he should be boxing more than twice a year, given that he is either close to or in his prime, although having said that, I don't know whether this sparsity in his bouts is down to his management or personal choice (I don't know what's going on in his personal life.) Either way I think he's a talent and I'm look forward to watching his career as it unfolds.

His lack of defense will be his undoing! He gets away with it because he has a wieght advantage at 160. But when he gets in there with someone skilled, that can take his shot and has the pop to get his respect, he will be outclassed in a big way.

Hurd is battered every fight, his futur is the stability of his chin.

Hurd has a knack for rolling with a lot of shots, so he doesn't get tagged flush nearly as often as it appears. I think he stays as the number one guy at 154lbs for at least another year or two. Should he move up, I think he'll probably do a little better than doubters might think, even if he doesn't wind up winning a title at the weight.

Doesn't get past Jermell who is almost as big and in my view boasts a tighter, more refined skill set. Admittedly I have underestimated Hurd more than once in the past, he already achieved a miracle by making a Lara fight exciting.
